Skill expression is the most important thing in sport 🏆

The approach to maximize the skills necessary to succeed in your sport can be different for different people 🗣️🫆

Scroll left to learn more ➡️

Are you strong? 🦿

Getting strong is a precursor to many athletic abilities. Get strong to increase your ability to express skills 💯

A lot of times, if your body isn’t strong enough it won’t allow you to express what you need to. 🙂‍↕️

What’s your form look like while getting strong? 🪢

If the technique is off then it could be doing the opposite of what you’re going for 🔄

Take this exercise for example - if the shoulder blades don’t pinch together then shoulder will stay forward. If the shoulder stays forward then over time, the upper arm bone can start to jam into the ac joint causing pain. Again the opposite of what we want ❌

Force = Mass x Acceleration 😤

Sometimes when increasing a skill lifting more weight (mass) isn’t what increases your ability 🤔

Sometimes it’s acceleration. By getting you to do a movement faster (adding speed) that increases force getting you better at sport 🔥

A low hanging fruit that’s usually missed is how you transfer energy from the lower to upper half. 🔀

What’s your power output? 💥

By increasing your power output this can lead to increasing all your skills 🥊

Evidence supports by increasing power it typically results in enhanced athletic performance 🏃‍♂️

How fast do you generate that force? Or what’s referred to as impulse ⚡️

Sport is played with time constraints. We don’t have forever to generate the force needed to express skills fast enough to succeed in sport 👀

By taking a deep dive into how force is being produced, how much force is being produced, and your technique expressing that force 5D can pinpoint small details with big ROI 👨‍🍳🤌

We want to be fast fast 🏎️

Quick acceleration is what creates separation 🚀
