Dear Texas 4-H-
Words cannot describe how truly impactful this past year has been on my life. From traveling across the great state of Texas to building lifelong friendships, I do not believe that if I were to go back in time to change something within my time on Council, that I would. This group of 28 individuals has grown close together and all of these people I can truly say are my best friends. I cannot thank everyone who got me to this point enough. From my extension agents, my mom and dad, @e2s2, my grandmother, @renitaschroeder, and my other family members who pushed me to run for this opportunity in the first place to those who I have met along the way, I just want to say thank you! I want to also say thank you to @district14h and @texas4h for selecting me to be a part of this amazing team! I do have one piece of advice for all of us, dream big. Dreaming bigger than the whole sky allows for so many opportunities and we should not ever in our lives pass them up. We should instead go into each challenge faster than the wind and with a passion for it so red that it is maroon. Now, for the last time Texas 4-H, this is your District 1 1st Vice President from Wheeler County 4-H, Wes Shaw, signing off! See ya around! 🍀💚🍀💚🍀

Better Late than never? Thank you Texas 4-H for giving me a home and a group of people I call family. Telling little Garrit he would have come this far would be beyond my wildest dreams, but I did it because of all of you. This year of service will be one that I will forever remember. The times we laughed, cried, and all that in between. To all of my teammates I want to say thank you for making this year the best year of my life. I am forever grateful for you all. On to the next chapter. Much love Texas 4-H🍀
