Professionalism.

When I was a firefighter, professionalism showed up in the small things.

A clean uniform. Polished boots. Equipment ready. Knowing your job. Being prepared when the call came in.

None of those things seemed extraordinary, but they mattered. They were part of the standard. People depended on us, and I always wanted to be someone my crew and the community could count on.

I’ve carried that same mindset into commercial real estate.

This business may have a low barrier to entry, but that doesn’t mean we should have a low standard. I take pride in continuing to learn, growing my knowledge, being prepared, and doing the little things right. I want to earn the opportunity to be top of mind when someone thinks about commercial real estate.

But professionalism is also how you treat people.

Our brokerage has a simple motto: Work hard. Be kind.

Deals fall apart. People frustrate you. You lose opportunities. Some days will test you. But none of that gives you a reason to treat people differently.

A smile costs nothing. Kindness costs nothing. Your attitude is a choice.

I choose to be that guy. I choose to be that leader.

I hope you win today.

Friday late afternoon podcast recording at @hihellolabs with @itscrystalcave … naturally since we met over drinks, we had to end our podcast with happy hour at @kreschophouse … so glad the @creisummit gave us a chance to bond. It’s wonderful when you meet someone who it’s just so easy with. Our bartender thought we were long-time friends. Not yet … but we are working on it.

Just wrapped up my CCIM Fall Forum. My first one attending and not taking a test, so this one was definitely a little more stress-free.

So great to learn and connect with so many like-minded people in commercial real estate. People who are absolutely crushing it in this business and are willing to share their knowledge, help others, and build genuine relationships along the way.

I didn’t think I could get more inspired, but I’m leaving even hungrier to keep learning, keep growing, and be the best broker I can be for my clients, my colleagues, and everyone else on this journey with me.

From launching into social media just two years ago… to leading a packed workshop at the CREi Summit. 🤯❤️

This one felt pretty special.

I was incredibly honored when Ken Ashley and Amy Calandrino asked Suzanne Schefcik and me to lead our “Like, Click, Comment" workshop at this year’s CREi Summit. This os my time ever being asked to lead a workshop at the Summit!

And we had SO MUCH FUN. Our room was jam-packed, the audience asked fantastic questions, and the energy was amazing.

But my favorite part came afterward hearing from people who told us they learned tips and tricks they had never heard before, couldn’t wait to implement them, and left feeling inspired to step up their own social media game.

That is exactly why I love doing this.

I am an endless seeker and learner myself. I’m constantly asking questions, studying what works, trying new things, and learning from other people. And when I can take something I’ve learned and use it to help someone else get better? That’s the best part.

Suzanne, I couldn’t have asked for a better person to do this with! ❤️

And a huge thank you to Ken for believing in us and giving us the opportunity. Two years ago, I never would have imagined this. What a ride!

Four years ago, during the pandemic, I had an idea: let’s start a podcast.

Apparently, that idea had some legs.

What started as an experiment has become one of my favorite parts of what we do at @cbcworldwide : conversations about innovation, careers, leadership, market trends and the people behind CRE.

Grateful and humbled to be recognized by @creisummit as a 2026 Podcast Influencer.

Still not sure I’m putting “influencer” on my business card.

⭐️One of my favorite things about the CREi Summit is being surrounded by people who don’t just talk about their experiences, they turn what they’ve learned into a BOOK that can help others! 📚✨

Look at all of these amazing authors who have come out of the CREi community! Rod Santomassimo, Allen C. Buchanan, Danielle Sprouls, Edward J. Winslow, Amy Calandrino, Ken Ashley, and so many others sharing their knowledge, stories, and lessons through their books.

And this year felt especially meaningful for me because I’m about to join them! 💙

My book, Intuitive Certainty: Where Intuition, Faith and Divine Timing Meet, comes out this December, and seeing it represented alongside books written by so many friends and colleagues was a pretty surreal moment.

A special shoutout to Amy Calandrino, who was incredibly generous with her advice and encouragement when I first decided to write a book. Amy, you helped me more than you probably realize, and I’m so grateful. ❤️

There’s something pretty powerful about being part of a community that encourages each other to share our voices, our expertise, and our stories.

December is getting VERY real! 📖✨

At CREi Summit 2026, we talked a lot about the importance of visibility so our work can be found. If you offer value, why hide it from people it could help is the real question. @edwardjwinslow wrote an amazing book ‘Proof Stacking’ with a foreward from the CRE giant @bobknakalnyc . Sharing this message to spread awareness.

CREi Summit!

Every person in this room is building something. But I’m going to let you in on a secret…most people don’t start showing up to rooms like this until way later…

This was CREi Summit 2026 in Savannah. Ask most developers how their best deal or partnership came together and it rarely starts with a listing or a cold call. It starts with a lender they met at a conference, a landowner who mentioned a site over dinner, a builder who knew someone who knew someone.

If you listen to the show, you’ve heard us say it more times than you can count: get in the right room. The people who move fastest aren’t always the smartest or the best funded. They’re the ones who keep putting themselves where the builders, lenders and operators already are.

If you’ve been learning alone from your couch, consider this your reminder. The next deal is probably sitting in a room like this one. Get in it sooner rather than later.

Next stop: Kansas City in 2027. Hope to see you in the room.

AI Sarah… girl, are you OK?

Because this is starting to feel less like a CREi recap and more like something we need to discuss with HR. 😂
