A few things I can’t stop thinking about #2874 In September I joined my homie @cwistofaaa at @the_livingarchive_ ‘s 2026 showcase of California-based, sustainable designers. Chris was showcasing his incredible brand @firstprinciplesclothing (responsible for about 90% of all of the great pants I own) and I was introed to so many amazing creators (shout out @blackpicasso101 ). Pictured here is the lovely LA-based brand @lilyforbesco. So many luscious silks and iridescent silk taffetas including the one you see here. My soapbox: If you’re going to grab a trendier piece, do it the best way possible. The same month I also stopped by @a.bout_design’s trunk show and proceeded to have the loveliest 2hr try on session with co-founder Yunchieh. She and her partner Dean have been building this Toronto based brand since 2011. Fun fact: Dean previously ran a beloved eponymous shop on Sacramento Street. Double fun fact: EVERYTHING, the leathers, the cashmere, is from Italy and, my God, it feels like it. I don’t throw around the term luxurious lightly but this was absolutely it. And if that wasn’t enough, everything is made to measure. Seared into my mind and heart forever is this insane leather wrap bomber jacket. This piece is just the tip of the iceberg. If you’re interested in indulging, let me know—this brand operates strictly on word of mouth. IYKYK ok?!? What can I say—a true MASTERCLASS in styling at @driesvannoten women’s SS27 runway show. The Kelly green, opera length, leather driving glove?? The skirt pinned with a broach?!? The knit polo (basically acting as a vest) over the flannel hooded quarter zip?!?!!! Perfectly overdone yet not a bit over-contrived. Folks proceed with caution. This is PhD level styling. I’m all about the element of *thoughtful* surprise. This is a gala-season hairstyle I’d love to see. A little undone, a little unexpected, a little hard, a little soft. Perfectly accessorized with @crescentwretch *GASP* a barn jacket that’s not painfully boring?! IN NOV WE WENT ON TOUR 💌 NY to RI, CT, NH, ME: We are masters of gratitude! We have so much to be grateful for. We hit our stride on the downswing, blessed by the rain & one perfect song. Talismans I recognized, artists I admired, open rooms that insisted on poetry like, please oh please! In RI we were fed & well led, we found the ocean again, the ocean and salt and burnt plastic. In CT we heard music!! From the folksy young hearts willing to weep for us so beautifully! In NH, we celebrated laughter. In ME, we finished that bag of wine with more than a few tears in my eyes. I love the life we're weaving. Thank you @squabtastic for everything, everything ❤️‍🔥
