In Japan they call it 武者震い (mushaburui), the warrior’s tremble. It describes that uncomfortable feeling before you do something that matters.
Last Tuesday a whole room at @sohofarmhouseibiza trembled together and spoke anyway. (One of them also sniffed a tennis ball. Warriors come in all shapes.)

Curious? Come join us for another Public Speaking Workshop ~ on Nov 10th at Primal Moves. Come trembling, come on crutches, come as you are ❤️

Limited spots.

“I have a feeling that people who arrive here, who have listened to these stories and listened to the music, they don’t know what is really happening. I wonder if from the Franco times and the evolution of music if there is a feeling of protection towards the Balearic Sound? But I can tell you that I moved here because of that sound. “ @iamsharonselene from @chinoisibiza.

In Episode 28, recorded at @sohofarmhouseibiza we asked if maybe more knowledge of the birth of the Balearic sound is needed. Should we have more club nights and artists paying homage to the roots of the islands heritage and what would that look like in a club? Listen on the link in our Bio.

Music is more than sound. It carries identity, memory, community, resistance & even rebellion.

It builds bridges across generations, defines places, and reflects the social and cultural realities we inhabit.

In Ibiza, music has long been a defining cultural force — shaping the island’s stories, rituals, and global imagination.

For a very special episode of Beat Wala, we invited an audience to Soho House on the island intimate conversation with a trio of guest speakers who influence and shape today’s musical landscape.

Guest Speakers:
@igormarijuan : Music director @akashaibiza
@manugonzalezibz : DJ / Producer
@iamsharonselene aka Sharon Simonetta: @chinoisibiza

Together we explored how music has shaped the islands cultural identity and what Ibiza’s musical culture reveals about who we are today. We heard how sound becomes both a cultural archive and a catalyst for transformation.
