Are your clients coming back for fills regularly?

If you want a full book of clients, your clients should be scheduling fills regularly and coming back approx. every 2-3 weeks. On average, lash artists only need about 30-40 regular clients to keep them booked and busy.

If your clients aren't returning regularly here are a few questions to ask yourself:

1. Are you attracting the right clients who can afford your services? Don't lower your prices or constantly have sales... make sure your marketing is targeting the RIGHT clients for your business.

2. Do your clients see the value in what you offer? Are your services producing great results? Do your clients think your services are worth the price? Loyal clients want: great results (beautiful and long lasting lashes), good communication and customer service, and to feel important and like they matter (because they do). Clients won't return if they are unhappy or feel like they wasted money.

3. Are your clients comfortable? Physically : is your bed/recliner comfy? Do you have memory foam if needed and a yoga bolster for under their knees? Does your workspace smell good and is it clean and inviting? Do you have a relationship with them? (This one is super important). Also... nobody likes bad breath.

4. Are YOU easy to work with? Are you easy to get in contact with? Do you respond to their needs/questions promptly? Easy website/online booking? If things are difficult or complex - clients will go elsewhere.

I often hear artists talk about how many lash artists are in their area and how the market is “over saturated”. I’m here to offer you a different perspective and things to think about to help shift your mindset...

-To be honest, there may be tons of artists out there but not all of them are actually good at what they do (Sorry not sorry). The quality of work, supplies used, technique and education will all vary. You are all different and special in your own way.

-An “Over saturated Market” simply means - YOU MUST WORK HARDER. It means success won’t just fall in your lap or happen overnight... you have to show up and offer tons of value. Show the world why YOU are the best option.

Ask yourself this... why should a client pick YOU over anyone else? What do YOU have to offer. What makes you special and unique?

Although we are all lash artists, offering the same service (lash extensions) - something others do not have is YOU. YOU are special and unique.

Do you have a specialty? Have you found your niche or your specialty in the market?

-Instead of looking at others like they are competition - learn from them. Study your competitors to see how you can make improvements in your business. (I love asking new clients who are coming to me from another studio why they decided to leave. I use that information to help make improvements in my business and to help prevent making the same mistakes).

Market Research is not a practice reserved for corporate America... as business owners WE need to conduct market research as well to learn.

-Most lash artists only need 30-60 clients (this will vary) to be fully booked. Look at your towns population, in most areas there are more than enough eyeballs for all of us lol.

If this helped you in any way, let me know! If you are struggling with something specific - please comment below so that I can make content that will help YOU ♥️ Click the link in my bio and grab my FREE ebook (Free Resources) available on my website.

Are you 𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 of clients walking all over you? Clients coming in late, last minute cancellations and reschedules... 3 week fills with less than 20% of the extensions still remaining...⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐃 𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐄𝐒⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
Think of policies as 𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘴 that clients need to follow in order to get services by you. They are a GAME CHANGER!⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
1. Sets the Expectation: You are letting all of your clients know what you expect of them. Everything is clearly outlined so that there are no surprises.⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
2. Saves You Time & $$⁣⁣⁣
Policies = less no shows and last minute cancellations. In the event that it still happens there can be consequences that the client is fully aware of.⁣⁣⁣
Example : No show = Full Payment Required , so even if they cancel , I still get paid.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
3. Makes Your Life Easier : Policies = Clear communication. If you ever get a potential client who disagrees with a policy - 𝐃𝐎 𝐍𝐎𝐓 feel like you are losing out on money. If your policies prevented someone from booking... GOOD ! Policies are meant to prevent problematic clients from booking and eliminate stress.⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
Someone who is planning on being flakey or can't commit is not going to be okay with strict policies... why? Because they are already planning on wasting your time. If they don't like it - they can go elsewhere.⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
4. Increases Professionalism :I appreciate when businesses have policies clearly written so there is transparency... again NO surprises. Having policies helps build trust.⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
5. Increases Value : Your business, services and time are very valuable. You aren't for everyone and you have to have policies in place to protect yourself.⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
6. Creates a Functioning System : Set policies create a system that your business will follow. This leaves no room for questions. Creating well structured policies will help your business run as smooth as possible.⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣

If you are trying to grow your business & get more paying clients you MUST ask your current clients for reviews.⁣
⁣
A review is a written or recorded testimonial from someone who is a customer/client of your business. It’s an opportunity to share someone’s first hand experience with you and your business.⁣
⁣
𝗦𝗢𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗢𝗙 𝗜𝗦 𝗞𝗘𝗬⁣
⁣
You want new potential clients to read great reviews when they search up your business. You want them to SEE that you are able to make others happy and that other clients are satisfied with the experience they had.⁣
⁣
In my experience 𝙂𝙤𝙤𝙜𝙡𝙚 reviews are very powerful. You can also copy/paste & format those same reviews to post on social media, your website and anywhere else you think clients will find them.⁣
⁣
Ask your clients for a review in person, add it to your follow up emails, add a reminder on the bottom of digital receipts - you can also offer them an incentive ($$ off their next appointment or a free item).⁣
⁣
Reviews are 100% necessary for growing your business.

If you are a beauty service provider you NEED a booking site... and let me tell you why:⁣
⁣
1. Convenience⁣
2. Organization⁣
3. Professionalism⁣
⁣
𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 : book appointments even in your sleep. Most booking softwares allow your clients to schedule their own appointments and process payments. Booking sites can be set to reflect your most accurate availability so that clients can do it themselves. This is great for eliminating unnecessary back & forth conversations about availability.⁣
⁣
𝙊𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 : Manage appointments from the palm of your hand. Most booking sites have easy to use apps so you can always check your schedule on the go. Never “forget” to book someone ever again.⁣
⁣
𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙢 : Most booking sites send clients multiple email and text reminders for their appointments. This reduces no shows and lateness. You can also enforce deposits/booking with a card on file to protect your time and money. The 𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗧 way to prevent no-shows and last minute cancellations is with protection online booking offers.⁣
⁣
Start treating your business like a business and make the switch to online booking. I have referral links for 𝗔𝗰𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗲 on my website. Click the link in my bio, click 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙨 and scroll down and you’ll find them.⁣
⁣
Which booking site is your favorite and what are the monthly fees if any ? Drop them below 👇🏽👇🏽
