That’s a wrap on the 2024 Area VII event season… and what an end it was! @spokanesporthorsefarm always hosts a wonderful show. 5-year-old Niall and 6-year-old Nash started the year going novice at this same event in May and finished this event as confident modified mounts. They have blown me away this year. I was also able to pilot @gwen.eq ‘s fancy boy, Mario, who is an elite athletic specimen that sometimes has the attention span of a goldfish. I had goosebumps and was absolutely beaming with pride for how much this exquisite young guy grew up at this horse show. I joked that I’ve never been so proud to be in last place going beginner novice… but it was true! I can’t wait to see how this guy continues to grow in confidence, strength, and competitiveness. Our team is always incredible. I am so thankful and proud to the entire Capstone Crew but this weekend just emphasized it even more. We welcomed @hrweventing back for this show and it was so awesome to keep watching how she and Tesla are growing as a team. @crk.events finished another novice in style and all the phases really came together for a super solid result! @tbb.tbg has instilled so much confidence in her fancy TB mare that they had a silly parting of ways over Nellie’s opinions on accidentally touching a pole in showjumping 😜. @fritzconnemarapon has worked SO HARD this past year, despite plenty of setbacks, I couldn’t be a bigger cheerleader for her as she made extremely easy work of her first championship and even with a silly, preventable whoopsie, had 3 absolutely SOLID phases and I couldn’t be more proud and happy for her! I enjoyed catch coaching some students for a friend and always love meeting new people and their equine partners. Thank you all for making this season amazing - even with plenty of chaos at home.

Another top 10 finish for my racehorse! 🫶

We started out the week with a bit of a distracted dressage test but Tesla still put on a good face about the large (beautiful) new show environment regardless! As expected she turned on beast mode to go double clear on cross country and reminded everyone that although she looks like a warmblood imposter she is in fact still a racehorse 🤣 We unfortunately added two rails to our score ending us in 10th place but we have our homework and as always we will keep working! So thankful for @capstonetraining and her supportive team for being my rock this summer. This week was a fun one.

Thank you @rebeccafarm for hosting!! So proud of my girl always 💚

Rebecca 2024 is a wrap! What a great (HOT!!!) week with an awesome crew of horses and people 🤗
Niall was a very eager young lad in the training level. He made easy work of the cross country and added just one rail to his dressage score. He ended just out of the ribbons in 9th.
Nash is really maturing into a solid event horse, bombing around the cross country and ending on his dressage score in the training. He came home with a beautiful 7th place ribbon!
Yaya and Gwen had a two beautiful jump rounds - that showjumping, WOW 🤩- to finish top 10 in her training division. Gwen rode like a rockstar and stuck to the plan wonderfully!
Tesla once again showed what an athlete she is with Heather doing a great job piloting. This special mare thinks novice is just too easy 💅
Caroline made her novice debut on Devlin and what a great show they had! One silly stop on cross country didn’t matter after a beautiful dressage test and clear showjumping round.
Castle just keeps Castlin’ with Gwen aboard, once again ending on his mid-20’s dressage score to come home in 2nd.
Thank you to the best team for all your hard work, support of each other, care for your horses, and being so awesome 💜

Inavale 2024 is a wrap! This event always feels very grassroots and homegrown in the very best way. Our team got to enjoy possibly the best weather the event has ever had (typically… 100+ degrees or rain 😂) and lots of great rides. The courses proved to be very challenging but they stepped up to the plate and jumped around with class. Debbie finished on her dressage score and we cheered so loudly you may have thought she won a gold medal! She has been working SO HARD and seeing her go double clear (and end in 3rd!) was a major highlight. Caroline finished her last beginner novice, sailing around the courses with ease and coming home in 8th. Heather moved Tesla up to novice and the beast mode kicked in as they ate up the course with plenty more in the tank and came home in 6th. Gwen piloted Mario like a star and while they had a miscommunication that ended the competitive weekend early, she schooled him in the most productive and educational way she could. This girl is going places! Niall keeps showing me why spontaneously purchasing him from a video is paying off 😂 and came home in 3rd after making easy work of some difficult courses. As usual, our team had unwavering support of one another and rode beautifully. I’m so proud to go through the journey with each of you! Now all eyes looking ahead to Rebecca Farms in just a couple of weeks!

How lucky are we to have Polestar for cross country schooling?! A few of the crew got out for a quick splash, jump, and gallop before we head off to Equestrian’s Institute Horse Trials this weekend. We sure do love and appreciate this horsey playground being so close by!

What else can be said but I am so proud of our team and their hard work and determination and development of grit. Niall started the year barely even having a rider aboard and ended the show season by winning a long format novice 3-day. It’s just really cool. He is not an easy horse by any means but I just beam with pride for him and excitement for what is to come with him. @liv.b.eventing and Nash started the year spinning at tiny logs and with Olivia learning to ride a completely new and different type of horse. They ended the season like a real pair and worked super hard to earn 3rd place in our large novice 3-day group! It was fun to ride our youngsters basically back to back the entire weekend. I can’t wait to see how they continue to grow as a team! @gwen.eq is one of the hardest working kids I have ever met - always there to help even as she was doing a move up to Modified level this weekend. She has been working so hard the last few months on developing Yaya’s strength and relaxation and it really came together at this move-up. I see green numbers in their near future and have so much fun watching them go!! @crk.events isn’t even the same rider as the beginning of the year. She has worked tirelessly this year with Aspen on the dressage and being brave and bold. Despite ending on an E, she rode all weekend with a great attitude and her toughness on XC had me grinning ear to ear!! Despite the end result her hard work really is coming through! She has come SO far in one (her first!!) season of eventing, I can’t wait to see her riding blossom even more next year! We all appreciated the support and love from our crew at home too! We are all looking forward to an awesome 2024 show season! 💜
