SPECIAL ARTICLE ALERT. 🐸 Music venue closure continues to be prolific. Every big name has come up through grassroots. Without small venues, where do up and coming artists get their first gig? What happens to artistic diversity when only commercially geared events exist?

@djzabathefrog and her team are out here fighting this good fight, with their work with @musicvenuetrust with brat parties, campaigns to MPs, Orwellian neuro and custom friendship bracelets. And frogs, of course. Alice/Zaba is a passionate, visionary leading lady. A leader who cares about her team and authentic creative expression, who campaigns ~tirelessly for financial and policy support for grassroots venues and artists, and against commercial homogeneity.

It was a piece that was obvious to me to write - Alice’s flame reminds us to dig deep within ourselves, have fun with it and that we’re not powerless if we stand as one. This is grassroots. This is Croakheads. This is rave culture.
