What they say is true. It’s about the journey not the destination. Some memories on my journey through the colored belts.

Vegas, here we come! 🥋🔥

This weekend, Chris is stepping onto the mats at the 2026 World Master IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Las Vegas.

We’ve seen the hard work, discipline, late-night training sessions, tough days, and everything that goes into preparing for a moment like this. Now it’s time to go out there and do what you do best. 💪🏽

We’re proud to have you as a teammate, grateful to call you a friend, and honored to build The Peoples Gym alongside you.

Go out there and leave it all on the mat! 🥋🏆

The entire Peoples Gym family is behind you all the way! ❤️

I’m not going to show the whole video because Master World’s is less than a month away and I know some of my opponents watch my videos… Yeah, I’m talking to you. You know who you are. However, it was good to be able to extend the match without trying to go for a true submission on purpose so that I get as much mat time as possible. I was able to control all of the matches the way I wanted to, and I don’t have video of the other matches, but I’ll leave you with this drill drill drill with purpose always hard work pays off.

Congrats to all of my teammates from @revolutiondojo @revolutiondojohouston for getting promoted and getting their stripes this weekend!

All of yall have earned it and there’s no better feeling than getting your belts from one of the most respected Professors in the whole country @o.g.jeffmessina

Whatever belt you received this weekend, cherish it and don’t ever think you are not deserving because trust me when I tell you that this dojo does not give out belts just to give out belts. If our Professors think you are ready then you are 100% ready.

Also, don’t wait to honor your professors and go out there immediately and test your skills at your new belt level. Remember it’s not about winning and losing it’s about the journey and growing daily.

I can’t wait to see yall later this week and to help break in some of those belts!

“The mats have taught me that pressure isn’t a punishment—it’s an invitation to become harder to break.” 🙏🏽💯😈

Short film Kingdom by Lubomir Arsov

Some battles are fought under bright lights. Others are fought in silence.

On the mats, in the courtroom of public opinion, through depression, false accusations, broken relationships, and the scars left by violence, life has a way of testing what lives inside you.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu taught me something I carry everywhere: the pressure doesn’t last forever—but quitting does.

Pain can become wisdom. Fear can become courage. Loss can become purpose. Love can still exist after betrayal. Every setback is another opportunity to sharpen your character instead of surrendering your soul.

You don’t build your kingdom by avoiding darkness.
You build it by walking through it—with integrity, compassion, and the unwavering decision to keep moving forward.

The goal isn’t to become unbreakable.
The goal is to become someone who refuses to stop growing, no matter what stands in the way.

Keep showing up.
Keep fighting.
Keep loving.
Keep building your Kingdom.
