Villa Nadar by @cromiadesign

Villa Nadar is a hotel set in the Tuscan landscape, designed as part of the journey rather than just a place to stay. The rebrand set out to turn a structure perceived as functional and transitory into a recognizable, welcoming place tied to its surroundings, without leaning on rustic Tuscan clichés.

The name’s historic link to Impressionism became the concept, expressing greenery, light and atmosphere through perception rather than description. Custom lettering built from the villa’s arches and filtering light anchors the system, alongside a natural, warm palette. Deliberately blurred, fragmented photography turns real images into painterly surfaces, completed by spontaneous hand-drawn illustrations and icons.

This is where good ideas start: seeing something else in the mundane.

Turning food shapes into letterforms means you are actively looking for the design, not just waiting for it.

Studiowatch is genuinely one of my favorite things I do. Getting to highlight incredible teams that don’t get nearly the recognition they deserve. It’s so cool to see all the works come together. The brands I find most unique and inspiring and the teams behind those same brands. Big shoutout to:
