Arizona State University 🎓🎓🎓@dnndentd @mid90s @monamabel @bquester along with others not captured in this first set of images. @cronkite_asu

In the fall of 2005 I was 25 and ready to graduate from University. 🤯Something I never dreamed of.,8 years prior I was a high school dropout.
@doljobcorps changed that direction then then U.S. Air Force. I picked up my 1st cameras as I traveled the world.Life was always changing.
I had also just became a father to my oldest son Jonas🙏Mona and I were gonna make a life with our writings and our cameras documenting the world. Little did I know my old shovelhead would take me to a new destination in the years to come.

I felt it was of the utmost importance to document this time in life on something real in a world where digital was ruining everything I loved about photography.

I captured these images on a 4x5 in”landscape camera borrowed from @asuherberger . I had the opportunity to work in so many platforms but this one took me in more than any other. The technicality and lessons I must learn.

A process so instant but permanent at the same time. This was Polaroid on a large scale and rapidly disappearing when I began photographing this story time.

For 6 months I traveled Arizona with this camera and made it a point to capture the people who had been present in my life. Family, Friends and teachers .

Fotographed with 1 💡, backdrop and one Polaroid each my dream came together. The community helped it grow into 78 images a body of work I was proud of.
Each image left me with 3 things the digital world could not produce. Negative, positive and a time.
Life is precious and this form I felt captured it into something that was real.

I pulled these prints and negatives out yesterday and traveled to a time not so long ago but also feels unreachable now.
Life Held in time by something I could touch.

Anyways sorry for the ramblings and bad vocabulary. here is to 20 more years✌️🎓❤️
