Face for algo, fresh from residency and im ready to party!! Im getting an opportunity to finally show Dwelling in LA @waterandpower_life for the WuWei show Saturday June 27. Been waiting for the moment to collab with my uncle who is based in China @li_daiguo . He’a my biggest inspo for pursuing art since i started in 2018 and im so excited we finally get to collab. Thank you @vora______ for making this happen 🌟🌟 Dwelling will be able to be a music hall for one night -> shanshui becoming space, like a Yang form for us to participate in as Yin. Ink floating in space aware of itself like trees able to hear themselves and rocks desiring their own vibration… 🗣️🦅🦅 🌱✨🌳 Dwelling’s limbs: @ang5l__ @princess.organ @w0rlddomination @strangejane_ Dwelling emerged from collaboration and an interest in community, i’m happy this iteration will house even more relationships 💫💫💫

It was the middle of January and I was asked to come to Oslo, Norway, to show my work (clay-fighter) at the National Museum and be part of a 2-day conference called “Orienting Desires Symposium”. The trip was organized through the University of Winnipeg, specifically a group called The Space Between Us Project . The symposium, “ is dedicated to fostering cross-cultural and cross�disciplinary dialogue on queer histories, decolonial archives, ornamental aesthetics, and digital futures. It brings together artists, scholars, and cultural workers from distinct post- and settler-colonial contexts to share insights on their practices, methodologies, and desires. The aim of this gathering is to centre queer, decolonial, and ornamental frameworks for knowledge production, while mapping continuities and discontinuities between different contexts and practices.” Needless to say, my mind was blown! Somehow, we created a pocket dimension where we could speak freely and safely, and be how we wanted to be, which in the current climate seems harder and harder to find. Of course, while I was there, I got to take in the amazing show curated by Dr. Noor Bhangu called Deviant Ornaments. (It’s up until March 15th if you are in the area.
