Our Online International Summer School is drawing ever closer! Iris from Winnipeg, Canada, will join Tutor Tracey Franklin’s ‘Developing Whitework’ week, and tells us: “Some 15 or so years ago, I attended a week-long workshop in London, Ontario, taught by Tracy Franklin. The Embroiderers’ Guild of London sponsored the series, and I thoroughly enjoyed the classes in Goldwork. Conversations with Tracy tuned class members in to her work with the RSN, and in subsequent travel to England, I was able to visit both the Hampton Court site and Tracy in her Durham studio. Among the treasures I brought home from the London, Ontario week, were Tracy’s books on Goldwork and Whitework. When I received today’s notice of the classes and the fact the Tracy is to be a Tutor, registering was an easy choice. We did have a bit of a giggle at the fact that here in Winnipeg, the classes will begin at 4am local time but having a flexible schedule as a senior citizen, that’s not a big problem!”

We are teaching a variety of techniques, for different levels of hand embroiderers, across three time zones for all stitch body clocks (times are listed in UK BST):
💜 Australia/New Zealand/East Asia (or an early bird!): 7am - 10.30am, Sunday 11 July - Saturday 17 July. Choose a combination of a 4-day and a 3-day class, or a single class.
💜 North America (or a night owl!): 3pm - 9pm, Monday 12 July - Saturday 17 July. Choose either one 5-day class, a combination of a 2-day and 3-day class, or a single class.
💜 UK/Europe: 10am - 4pm, Monday 19 July - Friday 23 July: UK and Europe. Choose either one 5-day class, a combination of a 2-day and 3-day class, or a single class.

Join the stitch party of the year! You're invited to attend Talks over the two weeks with Guest Speakers, the welcome reception and you'll receive a goody bag.

The RSN Online International Summer School booking is now open...which class are you booked on to! Perhaps this wonderful intermediate level design with Tutor Kate Cross, which will evoke memories of long summer days spent on the beach and milling around the rocks.
It reminds us of the popular tongue twister, “She sells seashells", originally published in 1850 as a diction exercise, with the term ‘tongue twister’ first applied to this kind of expression in 1895. "She sells seashells" was turned into a popular song in 1908, with words by British songwriter Terry Sullivan and music by Harry Gifford…well, I never! Get your tongue around this:
“She sells sea-shells by the sea-shore.
The shells she sells are sea-shells, I'm sure.
For if she sells sea-shells by the sea-shore
Then I'm sure she sells sea-shore shells.”

Our Online Day & Evening Classes are already really filling up very quickly this term, which is great as they are giving you a focus and something to look forward to when you’re at home, particularly the classes which progress over several weeks! There are only a few places left on these classes so get booking ASAP.
