POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Fun 4-person team workout for our regular class as well as the Faith Forged dudes this morning. This team of 4 CRUSHED it at our 8:00 class. The worm weighs 275#. They finished the workout with 16 seconds to spare, beating the 30:00 time cap!
😵‍💫
5,000m row
300 calorie bike
Interrupted every 4:00, starting at 4:00 mark, alternating:
1. 4 - 120’ sled sprints
2. 5 worm to shoulder + 10 worm squats
3. 2 each 50’ farmer carry, heavy, only 2 people going at a time.

After the second time through the taxes, sell out on the machines. No taxation at 28:00 mark.

Nasty. Perfect.

The MN CrossFit community really is unmatched 🔥👊

I’ve been lucky enough to be part of a few different gyms over the years, and every one has its own personality !!!! but the one thing they all have in common is an incredible community.

There’s something about showing up, pushing yourself alongside other people, and cheering each other on that keeps you coming back.

Huge shoutout to @cfsisu for putting on another awesome Summer Throwdown, and to all the athletes for always feeling like home. Looking forward to the next one. 💪

The @crossfithopkins crew really showed the love tonight. 🧡💙⚡️

This super awesome sign 😍, all the sweet & kind feedback on the cookies 💕, and coming back to EMPTY cookie boxes at the end of the night… my heart is so full.

It’s always an honor baking for this community!

Josh & Karlton though… they missed out. 👀
Don’t worry — I’ll bake a special batch just for them! 🤩

We hear all the time how soft and comfortable our shirts are. These are not your typical crusty cotton tees.

Christy and I are deep into our Chicago Marathon Training. This spring we decided we would run the @chimarathon to raise funds for the @u2fp crew. We have set challenging goals for this marathon and are pushing full steam ahead.

Today we tackled 19 miles and I’m not sure who was pacing who. All I know is that it was aggressive. Towards the end of our run today, I was ready to coast the last couple miles, and apparently the song Footloose came on Christy’s phone and our pace instantly cut down to 8:05. Yikes. Thankfully she doesn’t listen to that song on repeat. ‘Twas a pain cave.

Why raise funds for Unite 2 Fight Paralysis? I believe in the organization. They are the movers and the shakers. U2FP is the best catalyst for getting pieces in place that will ultimately yield some degree of restoration of function for people battling with a SCI.

The gas pedal must stay down.
Join Christy and I in supporting those with a SCI. You can help the fight by making any donation amount to U2FP. Our fundraising page:

I’m excited to race again in the Twin Cities Marathon this year as a member of Team U2FP. Just like two years ago, I’ll be racing with my friend and CrossFit Hopkinsowner/trainer, Josh Nix.

But what I’m even more pumped about is the chance to see more of my fellow wheelchair users out there with me!

You may remember that last year, U2FP won access for ALL MOBILITY DEVICES to compete in the Twin Cities Marathon and 10 Mile races - it’s the first time any marathon in the United States has allowed the use of e-assist handcrank wheelchairs or other essential devices.

The last time Josh and I raced in 2023, the marathon was cancelled due to heat. But we persevered and joined Jack Egbert and Jake Anderson on our own 26.2 mile route anyway! I loved having a training goal that got me outside and bonding with Josh and my other Team U2FP athletes.

This year I’m excited to be included in the full marathon experience, by being part of all of the race day events. This is something that too many folks in our community (and the disability community in general) don’t get to experience. I want to feel what Jason Stoffer described in his marathon reflection last year: “Well let me tell you, it felt like a rolling party along that 26.2 mile course.”

But I don’t want to be out there by myself. And since I love a good challenge, I’d like to challenge the SCI community to fill the majority of our spots on Team U2FP! We still have spots available on our team and I’d love for the wheelchair racers to outnumber the able-bodied racers!
