After our Fontaines DC listening party we have George from @crowdedflat playing all things indie/dance with tunes from LCD Soundsystem, Soulwax and Talking Heads with some tunes from the local Glasgow scene.

Charlotte Tuesday is a lover of disco and house and doesn’t shy away from edits of your fave sing-a-long pop tunes, old and new. She holds residencies in bars across Glasgow, has played in the city’s best clubs and recently had her first international gig in Portugal! She loves to keep the energy high in her sets, both with her tune selection and her presence behind the decks 💃🏻🪩

in july we gathered a huge squad of immensely talented scottish musicians and friends to scream My Body Knows When To Run with us, the opening track of our new album.

we were humbled and blown away by the number of artists who gave their time to come and be a part of this performance. these are the people who’s gigs we go to week after week, the people who make Scotland such a thriving creative melting pot, the people who inspire us to never stop singing the praises of Glasgow and Scotland as a whole.

filming this was one of the most fun and rewarding things we’ve done as a band, bringing the scene together and seeing everyone sing as one and absolutely KILL IT made us immensely proud of what we’ve got up here.

everyone who took part is listed below, please go and listen to their music and go to their gigs. you’ll thank yourself. we’ve also made a playlist with everyone’s tunes which you can find on our spotify.

scotland on top forever, we’re up next🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

DRUM ROLL PLEASE 🥁🥁🥁

We are proud to announce that ‘No A Mean City V: Sounds Of Solidarity’ raised a total of £4038.41 for @refuweegee, inclusive of merch sales, which takes our all time total to a whopping £15,315.25 🧡

Thank you to everyone who attended the event or played any part in it happening. NAMC is truly only as good as the people who buy into it, from the donations, to the gigs, to the wider idea that no human being should ever be considered illegal 🌍

As our events continue to grow, so too do the demands placed on the people putting them on. In order to do the next NAMC proper justice we’re going to take some time away so if you don’t see us for our usual festive festivities don’t panic, we will be back ⏳

The good people of @refuweegee do not have this luxury however so please keep supporting them in whatever ways you can, whether it’s via likes, shares, donations or your presence in a room/at a protest 🪧

Likewise, please follow @smcpresents, @crowdedflat, @brewgooder, @humanitix and @thevicandassembly to keep apprised of all the good work they’re doing 🫡

For now we’ll leave you with the words of the late, great musician, poet and humanitarian Mr Scott Hutchison:

“You can mark my words, I’ll make changes to earth, and while I’m alive, I’ll make tiny changes to earth” ✌️
