The words we say are important. @its_key.eye.ra explains beautifully how the term “food desert” is misleading. A desert is a natural occurrence and the lack of healthy affordable foods in our communities is nothing but natural. It’s quite intentional that certain communities don’t have grocery stores for miles, but have fast food on every corner. It’s by design. Prosperity Market is designed to bring healthy affordable options directly to communities. Our mobile farmers market is filled with good food from black farmers and entrepreneurs, and we are ready to pull up where we are needed most. You can help us end food apartheid in LA and beyond with a contribution to our mobile farmers market. At its core, Prosperity Market is group economics. With a growing roster of 60+ businesses, we have the opportunity to create tremendous economic impact in our community. That is why we decided to raise community capital to build our mobile trailer. Prosperity Market belongs to the community we serve. Our mobile farmers market allows us to support even more farmers and entrepreneurs and bring healthy affordable food to more communities. This is collective impact. You may be aware that we are currently crowdfunding for our mobile trailer, which will be home for goods from our farmers & entrepreneurs, and will allow us to literally be a farmers market on wheels. But what exactly is crowdfunding? Crowdfunding is an opportunity for you, the community, to support entrepreneurs as they launch and grow their business. As a new, black woman owned business, there are many reasons why accessing capital is difficult for businesses like ours. Crowdfunding levels the playing field. We can go directly to the community that we benefit, and offer you the opportunity to join us in making history. Together we can support black farmers and businesses and create food access for everyone. Contribute at FundBlackFounders.com/prosperitymarket Link to our crowdfund page and the full video in bio This clip features @fundblackfounders & @crowdfundbetter #prosperitymarket #notyouraverage #farmersmarket #blackfarmers #blackfarmersmarket #crowdfunding #communitycapital #fundblackfounders #femalefounders #losangeles #fundblackfounders #jlhfund #crowdfundbetter
