Charlotte’s October calendar is packed, and things only get spookier as the month goes on.

LGBTQ+ History Month and National Coming Out Day arrive alongside drag shows, live music, community gatherings, arts and culture, fall festivals and plenty of opportunities to get out and connect.

Then there’s Halloween. From horror movies and haunted attractions to drag brunches, costume parties and late-night celebrations, spooky season takes over Charlotte all the way through Oct. 31.

We rounded up what’s happening throughout the month so you can start making plans.

Did we miss any? DM us and we’ll add your event.

Yesterday I got to not only go see my mama Buffet at her Drag Brunch but I also finally got the chance to go support the crown Kings of Charlotte at their brunch! What a beautiful Crazy Life.

Thank you for the Photos Vicki

All right y'all. I'm going to get real vulnerable here for a sec. This has been one hell of a journey for me getting to evolve as a drag performer. She's been with me through it all. Y'all have known her as pixie cane, Ella meno p, and now Anna sthetic. I have been Anna. As long as I have been in school, I started college August of 2022 and Anna have been formed by October of that year. I have spent the last 4 years unsure of who I am and my place in the world. You have known lorelai to have a hell of a journey. And even within this last year I almost cut ties with drag and this key aspect of who I am just to try and fit into a space actively designed to push me out. Even 4 years into this. I still doubt who I am as a performer and my ability to lead and whether or not I should be able to be allowed to take up space on a stage and in a room. But I wanted to challenge myself this year. After Hopeway after all of the stuff the school. I wanted to direct and produce a show for Broadgay. So when the opportunity to direct burn book came up, I signed myself up for it and I am so excited for what is being put together. Right now we have one more rehearsal and then show day on October 1st. This is the most space I have allowed myself to take up and a drag aspect. I'm not just in a space. I am making the space. please come out and see my directorial and producing debut with of course the helps of crown Kings of Charlotte
