At least I know who I was when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.

I love what happens when creatives build something together. Producing and creatively directing Back to the Moon and developing audience strategy for Cut the Subtext are part of that work: bringing people, ideas, and stories together in ways that connect.

Some people stop feeling like home long before we stop calling them home.

But what happens when the person you miss isn’t really them? It’s who you were when you were together.

Back to the Moon is an original narrative music video short film about friendship, nostalgia, and the pieces of ourselves we sometimes leave behind with other people.

What started with a few unfinished lyrics became months of music production, storytelling, and collaboration with a team of creatives who brought their own perspectives to every frame.

And now, after everything it took to get here, we finally get to share it with you.

BACK TO THE MOON | OCTOBER 17, 2026

A film produced by Layla Marie and directed by Alejandro García.

🙏🏾 Man! I’m honored to be selected as a speaker for Full Sail’s MCBS ( @wearemcbs ) Hall of Fame Alumni Panel 2026 🎤✨

Tomorrow (3.10.26) at 11am, I’ll be a special guest on the MCBS Alumni Panel to speak with current students about building your career while you’re still in school, going “Above & Beyond”.

While studying Media Communications, I’ve been focused on turning opportunity into action — from being VP of Online for the Black Student Union (@fs_bsu ), becoming a promotions assistant, currently training with iHeartRadio as a board op/producer and being heard on 104.5 The Beat ( @1045thebeat ) on weekends live with Keeping It Connected ( @keepingconnected_ ), to building my own media platform Xtraa Mediaa ( @xtraamediaa_ ), and becoming a member of GRAMMY U ( @grammyu ) with The Recording Academy.

I’m excited to share my real world experiences about consistency, ambition, and showing people you’re ready to work before the opportunity even comes.

See you at Hall of Fame Week 2026. 🚀

Let’s be honest—friends who remind you about deliverables when you’re trying to make weekend plans can be frustrating.
But they’re also the reason things get submitted on time and goals actually get met!

Accountability from the people around you matters more than we like to admit. Appreciate the friends who keep you focused and push you toward success 🧡✈️

Tag your accountability partner.
