Move-in for our newest Cornellians was a smashing success, thanks in large part to our outstanding move-in and orientation team, including the Orientation Leaders who were bringing the energy all day. Thanks also to the some student orgs for helping to welcome our new class!

A Trip Down Memory Lane 🌷📷❤️‍🔥

This past year at Cru, we've gotten so many amazing opportunities to get to know one another, watch God grow our community, and learn more about Jesus together.

Seeing how God has moved at Binghamton University this year gives us such hope and excitement for the future. Praise the Lord for all He has done!

We hope you all have a great summer and cannot wait to see/meet you in the fall ☀️

From New York to Phoenix—one week, one community, one heart 🤍

This week, a team of 20 students from Cornell University came to serve with Starts With The Heart at Alhambra Beloved Community Church and what took place was more than service… it was family.

They painted and restored spaces we use daily.
They helped run our food pantry and clothing closet.
They served meals and built relationships with our neighbors.
They helped prepare an RV that will soon become a mobile clothing unit for our community.
They sorted supplies for our upcoming Back-to-School event.

They worshipped with us.
They shared their stories.
They encouraged the next generation.

One of the most powerful moments was seeing Cornell students and Phoenix Christian students serve side by side, cleaning the canal, passing out water, and speaking life and encouragement over one another.

This is what it looks like when community comes together.

To the Cornell team, thank you for saying yes 🙏
Thank you for loving our community so well.
You will always have a place here with us.

This week has been so special 🤍

We’ve had a team of about 20 students from Cornell University in New York serving with us at Starts With The Heart alongside Alhambra Beloved Community Church, and it has been such a blessing.

Since Monday, they’ve jumped right in:
• Painting our modular spaces
• Serving in our food pantry & clothing room
• Helping distribute food to our community
• Cleaning and preparing an RV that will become our mobile clothing closet
• Sorting donations for our Back-to-School event

But more than the work, they’ve shown up with love.

They’ve built relationships, worshipped with us, shared testimonies, and served our brothers and sisters with compassion and dignity.

Today was especially powerful as they served alongside Phoenix Christian students, cleaning the canal, passing out water, and encouraging the next generation to stay rooted in faith and community.

We are so grateful for each one of them.
One more day together tomorrow 🤍

Last evening serving together 🤍

What a week it has been.

From the very beginning, this team from Cornell University came ready, not just to serve, but to love, to listen, and to be present.

Today we got to spend time at AimRight with the kids and leaders, laughing, connecting, and pouring into the next generation. We also invited our sister Deenbo to come pray over these young leaders and speak life and encouragement into them, it was such a powerful and meaningful moment.

We ended the night together at Good Friday service at Alhambra Beloved Community Church, reflecting, worshipping, and closing out this week in such a beautiful way.

We are so grateful for each one of these students and the way they loved our community.

We truly believe this isn’t the end, just the beginning of what God is doing in and through each of them 🤍
