I celebrated a birthday this weekend! Grateful for all of the love I felt from such amazing humans. Heart is full!

Grateful to share that my birthday turned into one of those nights that cracks your chest open a little.

There was a sunset champagne toast. There was dancing. There were naked river creatures. There was a bonfire. At one point I looked around and realized most of the people I love were either barefoot, wet, glittery, emotional, feeding someone, DJing, philosophizing, or all simultaneously.

Honestly… perfect.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about what makes a life feel rich. I think it’s this:

Shared meals.
Long conversations.
People who know your weirdness and stay anyway.
Music drifting through the jungle.
Someone laughing so hard they snort.
A friend grabbing your shoulder during a dance floor moment like “can you BELIEVE this is our life?”

That kind of richness.

This year has stretched me in a lot of ways. Beautifully. Brutally. Both. But one thing I keep coming back to is how much I want to build a life with more presence and less rushing. More connection and more authenticity. More belonging and less proving.

And honestly, that’s a huge part of what Qasa is becoming for me too.

Not just a retreat center. Not just an idea. But a living, breathing experiment in how we actually want to live together.
More honest.
More human.
More alive.
More willing to jump in the river fully naked under the stars when the moment calls for it.

I feel wildly grateful.
For the people around me.
For the love in my life.
For everyone helping shape this strange beautiful little jungle village dream with us.

Thanks for celebrating with me.
Thanks for reminding me what matters.
And thanks for making this birthday feel so alive

Ah, another year in the dust. This makes 12 in a row. Why am I drawn back to burning man every year? In many ways, it feels like humanity at its finest. The way people show up with an open heart, with abundance and an intention to give, without the expectation for return. The creation of art for the sake of art. A place where play is inevitable and adventure abounds. Few things in life have a greater impact on my creativity or perspective on the world.

@campfruitpop - thank you for welcoming @cruhz and I into the family! It felt like home camping and frolicking with you all.

Awaken Retreat Integration ✨🦋🌿

A week in the jungles of Costa Rica with an incredible group of men…

Morning movement in the shala.
Exhilarating waterfall hikes.
Shared meals.
Deep conversations.
And sitting in ceremony with plant medicine.

Every time we gather like this I’m reminded how powerful it is to step away from the noise of everyday life and return to the body, to nature, and to intimate queer community.

Grateful for the men who showed up with open hearts for this life changing experience.

And thankful for the beautiful space that held us at @junglegayborhood, my second home 🫶🏽
