My last semester at SBCC has come to an end… 😢 It feels very bittersweet. Here is my final painting I completed for my oil painting class at the wake campus, as well as my final sculpture pieces for my sculpture class. The oil painting is referenced from my own picture I took of a beach in Manuel Antonio, CR. The sculpture pieces are “complex, unidentified shapes” per our last project, made with plaster. (ps if you want to take more art classes than offered at the main campus- check out the extended program at the wake campus!! @crunkleart is a fantastic teacher 😊) 📸 And big thanks to Chandler at SBCC’s Art department for taking these amazing professional photos 😍

I made these tonight in honor of my cousins grandmother Mormie. As a very young child, we would spend our holidays down in Century City/Beverly Hills with my Aunt Pam and Uncle Dick. We always went to Mormie’s house which was directly behind my Aunt and Uncle’s house. She always the most amazing spread of food, especially the cookies. I don’t know if she made them. I don’t know if she bought them but they were always so good and I always did my best to sneak as many as I could and eat them before dinner I’m sure that somebody knew about it but to me it was my little secret. Happy Thanksgiving ❤️
