contrary to unpopular beliefs, the roads less traveled may actually be the roads that help comprise the types of people we hope to one day become.

a hot take?

My journey has been relatively non linear. a blessing, nonetheless. Failure here, rejection there but all a universal plan that’s worked for me, never to me. the roads cosplayed as a set rooted in introductory experiences. new endeavors. new friendships. new conversations. new perspectives. and those perspectives planted a seed rooted in gratitude.

I met a man named Lew a few weeks back. At a coffee shop. @oasiscafenyc. The best coffee shop in NYC. I don’t believe in a meaningless coincidence. never have. Lew and I grab coffee now. Weekly. It’s a breath of fresh air sitting across a man, 88 years young, with so much life that’s been lived.
His wife is suffering from dimentia but he moves with so much wonder and so much grace. It inspires me to do the same.

Sometimes we can’t understand why our map guides us in a direction of a road less traveled. But then we come across people who curate a reason and we look at it as a micro miracle of sorts. or at least I hope we do. This is my rainy day reflection in the form of an Instagram caption pieced w photos that make me, yet again, :’).

not a comment on my high waters. You’ve been warned.

🌧️💙 A nor’easter in NYC wasn’t going to stop us!

This weekend, the Ardsley Family Dental family had such an amazing time at Races for Faces! We walked, enjoyed some delicious food, met the absolutely adorable cleft puppies 🐶💕, and most importantly, came together for a beautiful cause.

Dr. Rose also had the sweetest surprise of running into some of her former NYU coworkers and previous dental students! 🦷❤️ It made an already special day even more meaningful — such a wonderful reminder of the friendships and connections dentistry has brought into her life over the years.

Races for Faces supports myFace, an organization dedicated to helping children, adults, and families impacted by craniofacial differences by providing access to care, education, support, and resources.

Rain, wind, or shine, we were so happy to be there supporting a mission that means so much to us as dental professionals and as a community. 🦷❤️

And the best part? It’s not too late to help! Donations are still being accepted, and every contribution helps myFace continue supporting the craniofacial community.

👉 Donate here: https://racesforfaces.funraise.org/

Because every face has a story, and every smile deserves to be celebrated. 💙
