Crush N Run Pop Up Run yesterday w/ friends 🧡
We ran the 5.1 mile route. It was a nice change of scenery and a crush at the end was perfect after the humidity. 🍊 ✨

Mems of April 🌷🌞☁️

I’ve been bit obsessed with filling my free time with fun activities & for full transparency a big push is that I’ll be transitioning from a full time grad student/part time worker to a full 9-5 cubicle gal at the end of the summer and I’m tryna enjoy this stretch of freedom to the fullest.

A huge goal of mine is to keep collabing with local biz & my fav brands to supplement income so I can keep doing all the things I love!

For those who support me in any way- love you so so much 💗

📌 ALSO if you ever want some inspo for things to do whether you’re in the Virginia Beach/surrounding areas or beyond PLEASE hit me up! I’m super type A and have lists for anything and everything & am happy to help people add a little more whimsy & adventure to their life 🧚🏼✨

Marathon Countdown — I miss you, Mom ❤️

Next Sunday: Flying Pig Marathon @runflyingpig 🐖🏃‍♂️

This training cycle hasn’t been easy. Respiratory issues + a back injury tested me in ways I didn’t expect. As I am tapering, this past weekend gave me something I needed: momentum.

Big win:
For my last long run, at the @tidewaterstriders Dismal Swamp 5 Miler, I ran a sub-10 pace non-stop, the first time I have done that in months. No breathing issues. A definite confidence builder. It was a honor representing as a Striders Ambassador.

Progress hasn’t been perfect, but it’s real:
• Medication has my breathing under control
• Pulling back mileage helped my back recover

The past few weeks have also been emotional. April 18 marked one year since my mom passed.

I honored her the best way I know how: running.

• 12-mile long run + Crush n Run 5K @crushnrunvb
• 9 miles with friends @lauwrenann and @mmariano1 , and then the 5k with a “PR in fun”
The 5K was Half beach, half boardwalk and an amazing afterparty

After the race, I quietly slipped out of the After party and went to visit mom and dad at the cemetery. On their gravestone, I put the medal I got from the crush n run (thank you @courtneyleigh1108 the RD for the 5k).

The next day, we gathered as a family for the traditional one-year death anniversary ceremony (aka called a Barsi, Varsi, or Pratham Varshik Shraddha). It was a time filled with prayer, food, and remembrance.

This journey has been heavy… but also meaningful.

Friday, I head to Cincinnati.

Let’s see what race day brings. It will be slow but fun!

A 5K where you run the beach and get an orange crush at the finish line?? say less🍊🏃🏽‍♀️

Just did my first ever race at @crushnrunvb and it’s such a fun one—half sand, half broadwalk so it keeps things interesting but still beginner friendly. Everyone shows up in orange, the vibes are high, and that post-race crush tastes 10x better when you earned it lol🥇

If you’ve been thinking about signing up for a race, this is your sign to do this one next April 👀🍊
