Meet the founder, Crystal ✨

Somehow, I’ve spent months introducing the studio, sharing the classes, and telling you about everything happening at Axis, but I’ve never formally introduced myself.

Yoga has been part of my life for nearly 30 years, and I’ve been teaching for more than 17. I’m a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and an 800-hour Yoga Therapy graduate, as well as a Reiki Master, sound healer, and certified Sculpt and Pilates instructor. I’m also currently working toward my doctorate in Metaphysical Psychology.

But The Axis Studio didn’t come from a list of credentials.

It came from years of practicing, teaching, learning, and wanting to create something different. A small, welcoming studio where people are known by name. Where classes feel intentional and personal. Where movement can be strong, soft, sweaty, restorative, or anything in between. And where yoga never has to look a certain way.

My teaching blends strength, curiosity, breath, and connection. I want students to trust their bodies, take up space, and leave class feeling more connected to themselves than when they arrived.

When I’m not teaching, I’m probably making a playlist, planning my next trip, falling down an astrology or wellness rabbit hole, or dreaming up the next thing for Axis.

Creating this studio has been equal parts dream, terrifying leap, and labor of love. I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who has walked through the doors and trusted me to be part of their practice.

If we haven’t met yet, I hope we do soon. 💜

One of my favorite parts of teaching isn’t actually the teaching.

It’s this.

Rolling out the mats. Setting out the bolsters and blankets. Placing the eye pillows. Straightening every little detail before anyone arrives.

I want you to walk into a space that already feels calm. A space where you don’t have to wonder what props you’ll need or rush to get settled. You can simply choose your spot, take a breath, and let your nervous system know it’s okay to slow down.

Those little details may seem small, but they’re part of what makes The Axis Studio feel like home.

Have you practiced at Axis yet? I’d love to welcome you. Reserve your spot through the link in my bio.

Some dreams take years to unfold, and today I’m feeling incredibly grateful to watch one of mine come to life. 🥹🤍✨

Mystic Mama Healing has been built with so much love, faith, and the support of an amazing community.

A deeply heartfelt thank you to @move.with.crystal and her husband for welcoming me into @axis_longmeadow and believing in this dream from the very beginning. Your kindness and encouragement have meant the world to me!!

To my parents—thank you for pouring your hearts into this space with me. My dad hammered every nail into the walls and shelves, and my mom lovingly folded every sheet and towel, making sure every detail felt warm and welcoming. This space carries your love in every corner, and I couldn’t have done it without you!

To my loyal clients—thank you for trusting me with your healing, returning again and again, and making this dream possible. Your support has allowed Mystic Mama Healing to grow, and I am beyond excited to welcome you into this new space within the next few weeks and share this beautiful next chapter with you.

And to everyone who has supported, encouraged, and believed in me along the way—thank you. Your faith in me has helped bring this dream to life.

This is just the beginning, and I am so excited for all that’s to come!!

✨ Online booking is coming soon! Until then, if you’d like to reserve a session for once the new space opens, feel free to send me a DM or text me at 413-285-2550.

Rooted in wellness. Guided by intuition. Led by love.

Kick boards go in today. One more thing needs to be painted. Do we think the purple paint gamble worked?

Some of the best studio planning meetings happen over margaritas 🌮✨

Very excited to officially share that The Axis Studio will also be home to in-house massage therapy & Reiki offerings by @mystic.mama.healing

From the beginning, I’ve wanted this space to feel like more than just a place to take a yoga class. A space to slow down, reconnect, heal, move, breathe, and be supported.

Seeing the vision slowly come to life has been surreal in the best way, and I’m so excited to welcome another beautiful offering into the studio.

More details coming soon ✨

This Friday (4/10) inside our Chakra Renewal Series, we’re focusing on the heart chakra; the center of love, compassion, connection, forgiveness, and emotional balance.

Think of this energy center as the bridge between your physical and spiritual self; the place where everything softens, opens, and begins to flow in alignment with the heavens and earth again.

But when the heart chakra is out of balance, you feel it.

When it’s blocked, it can show up as:
– Feeling closed off or guarded
– Difficulty trusting others (or yourself)
– Holding onto resentment or past hurt
– A sense of isolation, even when you’re not alone

On the flip side, when it’s overactive, it might feel like:
– Over-giving or people-pleasing
– Losing yourself in relationships
– Struggling with boundaries
– Seeking validation or love outside of yourself

And when your heart chakra is in balance, everything shifts.

You feel:
– Deeply connected (to yourself and others)
– Open, but grounded in self-worth
– Compassionate without overextending
– Able to give and receive love freely

That’s exactly what this month’s series is here to support.

Through intentional postures, guided meditation, sound healing, breathwork, hands-on massage, acupressure, and Reiki, Ashley and Crystal will help you to release what’s been sitting on your heart and gently guide you back into alignment.

This is your invitation to soften, open, and come back home to yourself.

Join us on the mat and give your heart the spaciousness it’s been craving 💚

Your solar plexus chakra, known in Sanskrit as Manipura (meaning “lustrous gem”), is your center of personal power, confidence, and self-trust.

It’s the fire in your belly.
Your ability to take action.
Your sense of worth.
Your inner “I can.”

When this energy center is blocked, you might feel:
• Indecisive or stuck
• Drained, unmotivated, or foggy
• Overly concerned with what others think
• Struggling with boundaries
• Digestive discomfort or tension in the core

When it’s in excess, it can show up as:
• Control issues
• Irritability or frustration
• Perfectionism
• Overworking or pushing past your limits
• Needing to prove yourself

Balanced solar plexus energy feels like:
✨ Calm confidence
✨ Clear boundaries
✨ Disciplined but not rigid
✨ Empowered action
✨ Trust in your inner wisdom

This month in our Chakra Renewal Series, we’ll be working with breath, core-centered movement, meditation, and intention-setting to stoke your inner fire without burning yourself out.

Each session combines sacred sound, scalp massage, reflexology, acupressure, Yoga Nidra, breathwork, meditation, intuitive Reiki, and take home journaling prompts for integration.

True power isn’t force, it’s alignment, embodied self-trust, and knowing who you are, then moving from that place.

If you’ve been craving clarity, momentum, or a reset in your confidence; this is your invitation. 🔥

✨ New Classes Are Coming to the Schedule! ✨

We’re excited to introduce Hot Pilates and a Barre x Pilates Fusion class to our weekly lineup! These classes are thoughtfully added to complement your yoga practice and support whole-body strength, stability, and longevity.

Why Pilates x Barre?

While yoga builds flexibility, mobility, and mind-body awareness, Pilates and barre focus on controlled strength, core stability, posture, and muscular balance. Together, they create a well-rounded movement practice that helps you:

• Build deep core strength
• Improve balance and alignment
• Support joint health and injury prevention
• Increase endurance without high impact
• Feel stronger and more mobile in your yoga practice

🔥 Hot Pilates is a low-impact, high-intensity class designed to strengthen and tone while boosting circulation and detoxification; all without jumping or strain on the joints.

🩰 Barre x Pilates Fusion blends ballet-inspired movements with Pilates fundamentals to create long, lean strength, improved posture, and incredible body awareness.

Whether you’re a dedicated yogi looking to cross-train or someone who loves intentional, mindful movement, these classes are designed to support you on and off the mat.

Hot Pilates starts 1/13, Barre x Pilates starts 1/19

✨ No experience needed. All levels welcome.
