CELESTICA ♡

Behind-the-scenes footage from a famously deleted, alternative version of the "Celestica" music video, which was shot on a rocky beach in Toronto, Canada (the hometown of Crystal Castles).

Celestica" is a song by the Canadian duo Crystal Castles for their second studio album, Crystal Castles (2010). Polydor Records released it as the album's lead single on April 16, 2010, a day after its premiere on BBC Radio 1. A music video recorded at the Abney Park Cemetery was released in June. The song was written by members Ethan Kath and Alice Glass, with production handled by Kath. According to him, "Celestica" was inspired by a suicide at Celestica, a Canadian electronics company.

Suffocation captures the weight of regret, wasted youth and emotional stagnation, the feeling of waiting for meaning that never comes, set against Crystal Castles’ cold, claustrophobic atmosphere.
