It's time to announce our October Sister of the Month!
...Give it up for @wolfcrystar 😁
Crystal has worked very hard this semester as our stroll competition leader and has even choreographed all of our new strolls. She has repeatedly stepped up and taken initiative to help out whenever some of us needed a hand. Even with academics being one of her main priorities, she still manages to put in 110% of effort in aKDPhi and works extremely hard to see our chapter strive.
Crystal, thank you for all the midnight stroll practices and pep talks inspiring us to ignite our aKDPhire-- we honestly appreciate all the work you do. ❤

Happy Monday! Here's a #whyaKDPhi from our lovely #71 Jennifer *Ze-PHYRus* Qiu. Enjoy your neo semester, Jen! “#WhyaKDPhi?
Growing up, I never really had any Asian friends. I felt disconnected from my own culture.
During spring semester of my freshmen year, I became interested in joining Greek life. I had to keep asking myself “what did I want to gain out of a sorority?” Was it new experiences? New friendships? Sisterhood? Getting more in touch with my culture? To be honest, it was all of this. I’m so happy that Megan introduced me to aKDPhi – an Asian interest sorority, and convinced me to come out to the rush events. At one of the rush events, I met SO many sisters. They were so interested in getting to know me. Even though our conversations were pretty short, I felt so connected with them.
I’m so happy that I decided to rush when I got the chance. I am also very thankful for my line sisters. I couldn’t imagine being here without you guys LOL! Also, I'm v thankful for my supportive big and fam. Lastly, my mom, Crystal, was another main reason why I joined aKDPhi. I was so excited to learn that she spoke the same dialect as I did. She made me feel 10x more comfortable. So, #WhyaKDPhi? It has taught me to embrace my own culture, to get out of my own comfort zone, and to encourage myself to feel more confident with who I am. 😎😍😎”
