Gonna be a bit of a photo dump here. So, make sure you scroll through the ol’ carrousel to see what else I got up to that I haven’t shown off yet. AND, a special shout out to a few other painters that I got to watch bring their murals to life at @FriendzyFest_MF this year ( @Padlecki.Tattoo | @CryWolf.Art )!
•
I can’t believe it’s been a month since I was on the road travelling festival to festival, spray painting, but helping out in whatever way I could. Plus doing a lil EXTRA. LOTS of helping out, painting stages. Found some time to do some extra pieces. AND… even had the pleasure of seeing some of the wildlings sporting some of my apparel (hit the link in my bio to see what I got in my store, and remember I can customize colours to anything you may be interested in… just gotta let me know.

August was a month of learning some new things and surprising myself with things I didn’t even know I was capable of. Climbing rafters, using skrill saws, stencilling, and working abstractly and improvising with my painting in a way I wasn’t as comfortable doing before. This summer gave me a multitude of opportunities to prove to myself I was fully capable of tackling techniques I didn’t even know I was able to do without having the proper push to “just try, and see.”
•
The opportunity to work alongside so many talented people gave me the confidence I needed to just DO and create in a way that I’m excited to continue DOING in future endeavours.

@FriendzyFest_MF… what CAN I say?! Once again… an experience of a life time! Every year I come here, production just seems to get bigger and better than the year before. Those small festival vibes with that big festival experience. Last year I came out to set up and work on some murals… but this year was a completely different can of worms.
•
This year I was tasked with not just painting a mural, but was also asked to help set up an art gallery, was asked my opinion on bringing out some other artistic talent to complete a couple more murals at the other two stages (@Padlecki.Tattoo | @CryWolf.Art), AND was the guy to help paint the main stage’s large wooden dragon cut outs. I’ve always wanted to play a bigger part in the festivals I’ve painted at… obviously I love staying busy… but to play the role I was given at this year’ festivities was one of the coolest experiences I could have ever imagined. To work along side such amazingly organized talent and experts in their own fields was a spectacle to behold. Seeing everything come together in the few days leading up to the festival was one thing, but to see EVERY patron enjoy all the work put in by each person from each crew was beyond phenomenal to watch people to enjoy.
•
I like staying busy. I like playing a bigger part in the things I’m a part of. I cannot wait to DO more and BE more for places like this. To work around this many like minded individuals was a relief… everyone has their role to play and everyone follows through to the n’th degree in completing it. If you’re lookin’ for a festival close to home that will be sure to blow your mind… you should look no further! I HIGHLY recommend you put Friendzy Fest on your radar for 2027!! Thank you to Brad and Nick and Mel and EVERY-ONE for your trust in me and what I do… I truly can’t wait until next year and everything we got in store!

What festivals did you get up to this summer so far? Let me know below👇

Now… I’m home for a few days to sling some tattoos, but then I’m on my way to @ElectricSkyFest!! …can’t wait to show off what I’ll be doing there!

A couple weeks ago I was asked out of the blue to add a piece to the back of the old PawnShop venue. I’ve been to HUNDREDS of metal shows at this venue back in the day, so when @B3KVY threw up the “bat signal”, and gave me the opportunity to come down to fill some of the wall space for @EdmontonMuralFest, I felt like I had to do something that SCREAMED me! It was a pleasure working along side such amazing talent — established AND up ‘n’ coming — and hopefully in the future I’ll be gifted the chance to properly plan to do something at a larger scale for them
•
If you own a commercial building — or know someone who does — and you/them might be willing to sit down and discuss some possibilities to make the space a landmark here in my home city, I’d be over the moon to come up with something we could both be proud to show off to those who pass by. Not only does a mural make a drab building a work of art for all to enjoy, it can also lead to more awareness about your spaces businesses. It shows you’re well-connected to the local community, increases interest from out-of-towners to the area, creates a more beautiful neighbourhood, gives civic pride, and MOST IMPORTANTLY… mural work is known to decrease risk of vandalism. Oh… and did I mention the city offers grants to artists to help cover expenses for projects like these to get off the ground? Work like THIS is what I’m after more and more these days… ESPECIALLY when the weather is nice.
•
On that note… does having me do something like THIS for YOUR building interest YOU? Or… do you know someone it might interest? Let me know below👇

One of Edmonton’s coolest FREE activities? Mural hunting! 🎨✨

The latest @edmontonmuralfest creations have brought even more colour to @oldstrathcona, and they’re absolutely worth checking out. With several stunning murals all in one area, it’s the perfect spot to wander, snap some photos, and admire the incredible talent behind each piece.

And yes... we’re officially obsessed with the giant mosquito mural. 🦟😍 It’s equal parts amazing and way too relatable for this summer.

Save this for your next Edmonton adventure!
