It's a big thank you & goodbye from us at the very first Seahorse al Mare, we have loved every minute of it. Our huge thanks to everyone who joined us, plans are already afoot for al Mare 2021. In the mean time we are working on fixing the Seahorse back up for opening mid November. Thanks to Covid and our council, for giving us the opportunity to try a few new things and think a little differently. Here's to the best of Summer 2020....⁠

Retaining all of the restaurant's charm but with a cool beach club vibe, the Seahorse al Mare serves up the spirit of conviviality and a warm atmosphere with beautiful views across the Dart, together with freshly grilled local seafood, magnums of rosé and summer sounds.⁠

"We’ve eaten in the restaurant many times, but last night we attended one of their monthly wine tastings in the Cantina private dining room. There were 11 hungry and thirsty diners, the wonderful sommelier and our own private chef. We had a superb time, steadily working our way through 12 bottles of Merlot, which we were encouraged to taste, smell and write up notes on, with a vote at the end on the favourites. We were then served a perfect three course meal, at which the remaining wines from the tasting were finished off. You can imagine it got quite merry, with a fabulous atmosphere. Such fun, and we’d highly recommend this to anyone at all interested in wine and food. Thank you to everyone concerned for putting on such a splendid evening, with the chance to taste some very interesting wines"⁠ ~ a lovely review we received today from Maggie who came to last nights wine tasting.
