🤩THE LAST 6 WEEKS OF MUDDLED MEALS! 🎬🤩 Ok - I am SO behind in my official festival posting but here is the latest updates! 6 weeks, 7 festivals, 6 awards, multiple nominations/selections and sharing it with some very special people. 🥹❤️ I never would have DREAMED this little film would be so well received. It’s a dream come true and a whirlwind I’m still trying to catch up with! After returning from our UK/World Premiere at @wo50ff in Brighton and soon after that the @jaiff.uk in Bath it’s been to @romfordfilmfestival Shorts Festival in Romford, the @femalefilmmakersfestival in Berlin Germany, London three times at @londoniff at the @genesiscinema at @saturn_returns_ff in Islington and finally the Soho Film Awards hosted in Mayfair! The most recent festival at the Soho Film Awards, Rula Lenska, @anjacilia and I were given the ‘Soho Film Award for Oustanding Performance’ and our Director @csarnold10 won ‘Best Director’! we had more fun than I can fit into a 30 second reel but a girl can try shot & edited by me. @thesurfclub_surfcamps was a week of good food, great surf and beautiful people. Couldn’t have asked for more and the second I left I wanted to go back 🥲 they are holding another camp at the end of October! (exact dates 18-24th) and there’s a few spaces left 🌊 If you’ve been thinking of doing a surf camp recently, my advice is to just go for it. 🏆🏆 WE WON!!!!!!!! 🏆🏆 TWO AWARDS FOR MUDDLED MEALS!!🌟🏆🏆🌟 🌟🌟WE WON: 1- BEST SHORT DRAMA & 2- DRAMA SHORT: BEST DIRECTOR!!!!!!!! 🌟🌟 The @jaiff.uk took place at the gorgeous @littletheatrecinema in Bath and they truly honoured our film! Thank you so very much. I’m still trying to process it all! 🥹❤️🙏 A wonderful film festival, amazing filmmakers, a regency afternoon tea awards ceremony, great networking, brilliant films and new friends made. I am proud to have shared the screen with all of you. ❤️ This was @muddledmeals regional premiere and it was more than I could have hoped for. Not only that, the screening fell on the ACTUAL birthday for my Nana who the film is in memory of. 🥹❤️ And her son, my Dad and his partner Nanette got to witness it all too. 🙏 Thank you to the wonderful team and judges at @jaiff.uk and the film’s festival founder/directors Angela and Rusette for this honour and for an incredible few days with some wonderful memories made! 🙂 Will remember this for a long time to come and @csarnold10 I’m so glad they saw in you what WE all see too! When caring for someone you love becomes too much to carry alone, how do you know when it’s time to ask for help? ❤️ In “MUDDLED MEALS” by Christie Arnold (UK 🇬🇧), Sandra is doing everything she can to care for her mother Bev, who is living with dementia. But when a care home place becomes available, she must face an impossible choice.
