I can’t believe it’s been a month and a half and I’m only just going through my vacation photos 🫣 Prepare to get sick of seeing my posts ‘cause this is gonna be, like, a 10-part thing.

Mother/daughter ink ☺️🎨🖋️ So glad we finally got to do this after talking about it for so long! Thank you @emilypageart for sharing your amazing artistry! 💙

“Aren’t two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s consent. But even the hairs of your head have all been counted. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
— Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭29‬-‭31‬

“Consider the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?…Observe how the wildflowers of the field grow: They don’t labor or spin thread. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these. If that’s how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow, won’t he do much more for you ?”
— Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭26‬-‭30‬

Attended my first ever Ash Wednesday service this morning 🙏🏻💜 Growing up in a denomination that simply didn’t acknowledge Lent, it was just never something I was exposed to. My first year having a particular interest in this season of the Church calendar was 2020, right before lockdown, but I didn’t go to the service; this time last year, we weren’t back to in-person services yet. Glad to have finally made it.
It’s amazing how one could have been a practicing Christian her whole life and still have so much to learn from different expressions of the faith. ✝️

How many consecutive no-Valentine years does it take to finally decide I’m worth my own celebration? Apparently 34. (Translation: I have never *not* been single on February 14. EVER.)
So, this year:
💄👀 I got all dolled up for the sake of my own joy. (My mascara declares itself “better than sex,” so…who’s really winning today? 🤷🏼‍♀️)
💐 I bought my own darn roses. And I didn’t just grab the last sad bouquet on the discount rack—I planned ahead and went out of my way to grab this beauty from the fabulous @elanhouse.
☕️ I drank my coffee from the mug a kind friend gifted me three years ago. (It was the closest thing they had to a cat picture when he got it. 😻)
🎈 I leaned into the extra love (and treats) that my family sent my way.

Dunno if anyone else feels like they need permission to acknowledge their own self worth today, but if that person is reading this, consider it permission granted. Don’t wait 34 years for someone else to see you this time of year. 💙

(Now onto spending the rest of the evening with my cats and a single-serve can of rosé 😂)

Literally first time I’ve been to the beach since 2017—it’s a perfectly beautiful day to celebrate my cousin’s birthday!🏖🌊🐚
(and I’m feeling especially cute in my new bathing suit, TBH, so selfie it is 🤷🏼‍♀️)

If I’m gonna take the time to look a bit extra, I can’t not document it, right? 🤷🏼‍♀️📸
