Thank you to the friends and community who have truly accepted me and taken me under their wings as I venture into being social 🥹😅

Most of my life I have been extremely committed to work, letting all possibilities of friendships and relationships fade and engaging in almost no hobbies.
I bought work clothes, would get excited to buy new work shoes, and cycled through various sometimes spontaneous collecting rabbit holes. I’ve collected giraffe items my whole life (my high school bedroom was a little ridiculous 😅), would raid the prop room at RUHS when my mom was the drama teacher and wear period pieces to school, became a sneaker head in my mid 20’s, and clearly still collect clothing & knick knacks that remind me of a simpler time.

After spending 10+ years as a line cook in fine dining, 4+ years in management (including general manager 😭)- I have found so much peace in slowing down.
I would not have been able to stand around and shoot the shit at a flea market 2 years ago.

Thank you to ALL of the passionate people I have met over the last year and a half. Whether that be people from the vintage community (highlighted here), rope droppers, character chasers, pin collectors, history fanatics, or people who just want to re do a time that should have felt softer.

If we haven’t gotten to know each other, I’m sensitive 😅 I am finally starting to feel truly like my own person. I have always kept who I am to myself, focusing only on my work output and forgetting that life is more than putting immense amounts of pressure on yourself. For me, my reaction will always be “flight”, forever Irish goodbye-ing out of life situations 🤣 That does not mean it’s always intentional, spending so much time in my own head for so long has made it easy to over analyze and criticize myself.

Getting out there and being myself has been worth it though

I do not feel alone anymore 🫶💖
