To Plugs-
I’m not even sure where to begin. The day I found out I just had the chance to be on this team, I cried harder than I ever had from happiness. Being on this team was something I had dreamed about. I looked up to every single one of you and I would come to competitions early and stay late just to watch you guys compete. When I officially made the team, it honestly felt unreal. And from the very beginning, you all made me feel like I belonged. Thank you for taking me in so quickly and making me feel like part of a family instead of just “the new girl.” Thank you for never giving up on me, especially during the moments when I struggled and felt like giving up on myself. Thank you for every correction, every pep talk, every extra minute spent helping me improve. Thank you for calming me down backstage, breathing with me when I was nervous, and reminding me to trust myself, trust my teammates, and give everything I had every single time we stepped on that mat. And to my stunt group, I don’t think you understand how much you mean to me. Thank you for being patient with me when I didn’t get things right away. Thank you for never making me feel like a burden. Instead, you kept reminding me that I could do it, even on days when I didn’t believe in myself. You turned hard practices into memories I’ll never forget, and I will forever be grateful for that. Even though I joined later than everyone else, this team changed me in ways I can’t even explain. You taught me what it means to fight for each other, to trust your teammates completely, and to never give up even when things get hard. But most importantly, you taught me that cheer is about so much more than routines, stunts, or competitions. When you’re surrounded by the right people, it becomes a family, a home, and a feeling you never want to lose. Thank you so much for everything. This team will always hold a special place in my heart. I love you all. Plugs forever!
And to my coaches, thank you for believing in me, pushing me, supporting me, and never giving up on me. You taught me so much more than just skills and routines. Thank you for being my why.
