Meet Annie Valenzuela! ⚾️✨

Annie is a 4th-year Public Relations student earning her Sports Media Certificate and making the most of every opportunity the Department of Communications offers for personal and professional growth.

She is currently a member of @csufprssa and a @fullertontitans Titan Athletics intern, developing her social media and content creation skills. Annie is turning her classroom and on-campus experiences into skills she can apply in the real-world!

Officially a Public Relations graduate, which means I can professionally panic during a crisis now.

Throughout these four years, one phrase stayed with me: improve, don’t prove.

There were moments when rejection after rejection made me want to list every accomplishment, every leadership role, every reason I deserved a chance. I wanted to say, "I can do that too." But over time, I realized it was never about proving that I belonged.

My goal was never just to graduate, earn a degree, or collect titles. It was to leave every space a little better than I found it and to make an impact on the people around me.

This journey meant more than crossing a stage. It meant carrying the sacrifices of those before me while creating opportunities for myself and others. Through every role, organization, and opportunity, I tried to lead with kindness, creativity, laughter, and authenticity.

Because at the end of the day, accomplishments may open doors, but character is what people remember.
I don't know if laughter can change the world, but I do know it can make difficult days lighter, bring people together, and remind us of our humanity. If that's true, then I'll keep doing my part.

This degree is a milestone, but the people I've met along the way have been the greatest gift. Here's to continuing to learn, grow, and contribute to a world worth caring about.
