Shadow went to the transfer orientation today! A bit bumpy once we got there, someone needed to go potty 🤦‍♀️. But once we had a quick bathroom break he was great! Took a quick nap, ate a french fry to quality check the dining (he said it was great @csudining ), and met plenty of people! I was so happy with our experience, everyone was respectful and did a good job of ignoring him! We had the help of some treats from @girlsgonerawpethealth which always helps on outings 😉. Excited to start soon!

We were thrilled to connect with this incredible group of Cleveland State University School Psychology interns at the OSPA Conference! 🙌

Pictured with CSU School Psych Program Director Patrick Frato (far back left), this group is gearing up for graduation in May 2026 -- and we can already tell the future of school psychology is in great hands. 💙

Congratulations to the winners of the PSI Yetis at the OSPA conference. How coincidental that they have the same first name!! 🤯

Kathryn Wood (slide 1) attends CSU’s school psych program and will graduate May 2026, and Katherine Leech attends the University of Findlay’s school psych program and will graduate May 2026. Congratulations to both of you as you complete your internship this year!

🌟 From CSU to Vietnam and Back: A Story of Global Impact 🌟

Meet Dr. Thanh, a proud CSU alumnus who proves that with hard work, the right connections, and big dreams, anything is possible. 🌏

Dr. Thanh earned his MS in Clinical Psychology from CSU in 2003 with the support of our amazing Psychology Department. During his time here, he received a scholarship (rare for international students back then!), participated in groundbreaking research, and brought all his knowledge back to Vietnam. Today, he’s the Vice Director of a major general hospital in Vietnam, changing lives and improving mental health care across the country.

One of the key drivers of his success?
Networking.

Dr. Thanh’s advice to students:
✨ Find the right people to help you grow.
✨ Bring value to the table before you receive.
✨ Pay it forward, dream big, and take action!

As a CSU Global Ambassador, Mia had the privilege of learning from Dr. Thanh and hearing his inspiring journey firsthand. She shares, “Listening to Dr. Thanh reminded me how important it is to think beyond ourselves. With the right mindset and connections, we can not only achieve personal success but also create a positive impact for others.”

Dr. Thanh’s story is a testament to the global opportunities and community support that CSU offers to international students, especially those from Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

PSI sponsored lunch for nearly 100 School Psychology graduate students attending the OSPA Intern Conference. 🙌

The event brings in the 3rd-year students that are currently doing their internships around the state. All the universities that offer degrees in School Psychology in Ohio were represented. Multiple PSI team members also attended and were able to talk about job opportunities and to tell the PSI story - one that started with School Psychology graduate students back in 1977.

We can't wait to do this again next year!

A handful of folks from PSI spent lunch with a group of first and second year graduate students in the School Psychology graduate program at Cleveland State University!

Working with the leadership of the Graduate Association of School Psychology and Professor Patrick Frato, their Faculty Advisor to coordinate the “Lunch and Learn”, folks from PSI shared information with the students about PSI and answered questions about working for PSI as a School Psychologist.

It’s always good to be on campus and talking with the next generation of educators. If you are a student leader or a faculty member or faculty advisor - we would love to have a session like this with you. And we will even buy lunch! 😋
