Casita Colibrí is sponsoring the @csusm Latino Business Student Association with conchas and chocolate chip cookies for their fundraising bake sale. I’m grateful to contribute to the work these students are doing to build their futures through business, entrepreneurship and leadership. If you’re on campus, stop by their booth and pick up a little Colibrí treat to brighten up your day!

As a first-generation Latina, the daughter of immigrants and the first in my family to own a business, I know how meaningful access, representation and opportunity can be. Supporting students in every chapters of their educational careers is one way Casita Colibrí continues to advocate for more opportunities for our youth to thrive.

And there’s another reason this sponsorship means so much to me: gluten-free inclusion matters. As someone living with celiac disease, seeing gluten-free options represented at a campus bake sale and seeing Mexican pan dulce included in spaces where students gather shows how food can help people feel seen, included and connected to their culture.

To the students of @lbsa_csusm : keep building, keep leading and keep creating opportunities for yourselves and those who come after you. Casita Colibrí is proud to support you!

Sí se puede!

A big thank-you to Chasen Eddow, Director of Sports & Youth Community Relations at Frontwave Arena, for joining us and sharing his insights on managing people, purpose, performance, and community in sports and entertainment.

We appreciated hearing about the work behind the game and learning how sports organizations create meaningful connections with their communities. Thank you to everyone who came and made the conversation engaging!
