Today, after 10 years, this time I’m not writing to my boyfriend. I’m writing to my fiancé, my future husband.

I want you to know that this year changed my life. I never knew it was possible to love someone this much, and then even more with every year. You healed my inner child. You made my family happy, my friends celebrate, and everyone around me feel the love, not just me.

Thank you for being the man you are today. Thank you for working so hard for us and for our future. Thank you for asking me to be your wife this year. Thank you for letting me share your success, and for pushing me to see myself as successful too.

And to the little crush I met when I was 15, we made it. You kept every promise. You loved me with your whole heart all these years. You said you would marry me one day… and you will. Thank you for never letting me down. You didn’t just promise a true love story, you worked for it and turned it into a real life.
