POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Every shirt tells a story.

The Umbrella Clothesline Project raises awareness of the impact of domestic violence and abuse while honoring the strength, resilience, and courage of survivors.

Each shirt was created by a survivor of domestic violence, a child of a survivor, someone who has lost a loved one to violence, or a supporter standing in solidarity. Through words, artwork, and personal messages, participants share experiences that are too often hidden behind silence.

Displayed together, these shirts serve as a powerful reminder that domestic, intimate partner, and family violence affect people right here in our community, and that healing is possible.

During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we invite you to bear witness to these stories, support survivors, and help break the silence surrounding abuse.

If you or someone you know needs support, help is available 24/7. Call, text or chat the CT Safe Connect hotline at 888-774-2900.

1 in 4 women. 1 in 7 men.

These statistics represent real people in our communities, including friends, family members, neighbors, coworkers, and loved ones.

Domestic violence often happens behind closed doors, but there are times when the warning signs may be visible. If something feels off, don't ignore it. Check in with the people you care about. Listen without judgment. Let them know they're not alone. A simple conversation can make a difference.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, let's commit to looking out for one another, supporting survivors, and helping create safer communities for everyone.

💜 Everyone deserves relationships built on respect, safety, and trust.

If you or someone you know needs support, help is available 24/7. Call, text or chat the CT Safe Connect hotline at 888-774-2900

Thank you to everyone who showed off their purple today to help raise awareness about domestic violence. It’s a small but powerful way to support survivors.

Currently, CT’s DV shelters are over capacity, servicing anywhere from 2500-3000 people. To help, you can support our “diaper drive” throughout October. We’re accepting all types of diapers, wipes, formula, and gift cards for groceries and gas.

Shoutout to Mrs. Muharem & @woodlandhawkwings for their solidarity! 💟

Thank you! #domesticviolenceawareness #diaperdrive #DVAM #purplethursday

On Wednesday, October 21, a room full of advocates and changemakers will gather to honor the legacy of Constance Baker Motley and raise funds to support providing free legal education and referral services to women across Connecticut. Through our statewide program, we ensure that women, particularly women of color and women living with low incomes, have access to the information, tools, and support they need to navigate systems that were not designed with them in mind.

We are so grateful to our event sponsors and for their support of this work. Join us in thanking them!

🌿 Mental health support begins with awareness, understanding, and access to care.

World Mental Health Day has brought communities together to promote mental health education, challenge stigma, and encourage people to seek support when they need it.

@m3Development is proud to work with organizations making a difference in mental health and behavioral health, like @CTBHcare, playing an important role in connecting individuals and families with resources, support, and opportunities to move forward.

We are proud to send congratulations to our friend Emily Granelli who was recently announced as the incoming CEO of @CTBHcare. Emily’s experience and leadership will mark an exciting new chapter for an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families across the community.
