Building community, strengthening our coalition, and preparing for what's ahead! 💚

Two weeks ago, members of the HUSKY 4 Immigrants Coalition came together for a retreat to reflect on our collective work, discuss ongoing state and federal changes, and prepare for the year ahead.

With so much at stake for immigrant communities, spaces like these are essential for strengthening relationships, sharing knowledge, and ensuring we're working together toward our shared goals.

We're grateful to everyone who continues to bring their voices, perspectives, and commitment to this coalition. Our strength comes from our community, and together, we continue moving forward! 💪

Today in Hartford, we brought together community organizations, faith leaders, labor unions, and elected officials as Connecticut’s protected areas law took effect, a victory won by organizing and building power together.

Even as we mark this victory, we cannot fully celebrate knowing that members of our community woke up today without health care coverage. Families deserve to access schools, health care, and essential services safely.

Thank you to our partners and everyone who stood with us today. Together, we’ll keep organizing to ensure these protections are upheld and every immigrant family can safely access health care, education, and essential services.

The extreme weather Connecticut is facing is not “normal”. When you’re stuck with the bill after disaster strikes, remember that fossil fuel billionaires are profiting off of the climate crisis. #makepolluterspay #extremeweatherct

Connecticut’s extreme weather is NOT normal. As we pay for these damages and disasters, billionaires and oil ceos cash in. It’s time to make them pay their fair share. Who’s with us?! ‼️#holdpollutersaccountable #makepolluterspay #climatesuperfund
