I’m supposedta hang out with queens. Today at the @ctcorps #barksnbowl I met @feliciaboltontv, a REAL QUEEN! She let me try on her royal crown, and felt like the prettiest queen of all the therapy puppers.

Lucky is resting up for her canine therapy visit through @ctcorps this weekend with the American Brain Tumor Association convention attendees. She’ll be visiting with families, healthcare professionals and any other attendees who would enjoy a few minutes of interaction with a loving pup. During our canine therapy visits to various organizations, we’ve been surprised that there are often people who have a fear of dogs or have had a bad interaction with a dog in the past who decide to try again with Lucky. Maybe it’s her fluffy coat or her small unthreatening size or that they know that she’s trained to be gentle. They may start with just a little touch on her back or giving her a treat. Sometimes they first want to watch her interact with others and think about whether they are ready to touch her or interact with her. But it’s profoundly moving to us that there are adults who are trying to overcome a long- held fear of dogs and that our dog can assist them in feeling more relaxed. 🍀

Sometimes people give because they simply think they should. But when you give, I always know it comes from some place good! Thank you for supporting me and the other 99 therapy teams that are part of Canine Therapy Corps 🐶

Some days, therapy work looks big.
Some days, it looks small.

A wagging tail.
A quiet cuddle.
A hand reaching out to pet a soft head.
A reason to smile for just a few minutes.

Buehrle will never know the conversations he helps start, the anxiety he helps calm, or the memories he helps spark.

He just knows that people are worth saying hello to.

And maybe that’s the best part. 🤍🐾
