Born and bred in Cape Town, and somehow every time I visit V&A Waterfront I still feel like I’m on holiday. 😎

It’s been one of my favourite places in Cape Town for as long as I can remember, and now I get to experience it through my daughter’s eyes too.

If you’re looking for a family day out, these are 5 of our favourite things to do at the V&A Waterfront:

🐠 Visit the Two Oceans Aquarium 💎 Hunt for treasures at the Scratch Patch 🐟 Stop for lunch at Cape Town Fish Market 🚂 Take a ride on Toadie’s Train 🛝 Finish off with some playtime at the kids’ playground

There’s always something to see or do, which is probably why we keep coming back.

The whole family's invited to this one 🥢

Dinner at @ctfmsa and the freshly revamped space is so warm and welcoming. 🍤

We started with drinks, I made far too many trips to the sushi belt, the lamb croquettes gave me the cheese pull of my dreams... and we ended with something sweet.

There's a proper kids' menu, so it's perfect for a family dinner, but it's just as good for a date night or drinks with the girls. 🥂👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Keep an eye on their weekly specials on the menu too 🪼

This past weekend we visited the incredible @ctfmsa
We are not new to this stunning restaurant, in fact we have frequently visited some of their other locations as they have quite a few nationwide 🇿🇦

One of our favourite things about CTFM is how family friendly it is! Our toddler can keep himself busy under the watchful eye of the childminders while we can have a drink in peace 😅

Their food is exceptionally good! This was the first time I had the seafood pasta which was next level, Wikus ordered a platter which isn’t unusual it’s his go too 😅

They do have a kids menu as well but we ended up getting Ariston a starter potion of ribs as well as some grilled hake and rice which he loved!

Obviously he also stole my bread from my mussels starter 🫠
