Four years ago I couldn’t even bring myself to watch the living horror show unraveling on tv. However, TODAY I am so proud to launch the Dear Mr. President series online. These films were brought to life by unbelievably talented filmmakers and poets, who poured their time, love and imagination into a project purely in the name of art. In 2016 I partnered with @motionpoems to create a series of shorts that celebrated poetry and film. Dear Mr. President was born as a consequence of the US presidential inauguration in 2017. It is almost exactly four years later and the themes explored in this collection of films are perhaps even more relevant today. On 01.20.2021 I’ll be launching the Dear Mr. President website where you can see all 12 films and learn more about the project. These films are so very close to my heart and highlight core issues that our society and politics have exacerbated beyond belief. Looking forward to sharing with you. This one is special. Not only is this the first independent Jagwar Twin release (doing it our way) but it’s also the first full top to bottom @cthdrl_ drop.
