It was an incredible honor to stand in front of The Hurricanes as their head drum major this season. Almost a decade after my age out with The Cavaliers, I had never imagined that I would call another drum corps my home again, but it seems that there are now two green teams that are near and dear to my heart. Between unexpected eye surgery, planning a wedding, and all of the normal drum corps struggles, it was a crazy season for sure, but at the end of the day, I am incredibly proud to call myself a Hurricane.

I am excited to see what is to come as we head into our 95th Anniversary season, but until then, WPTT 💚⚡️

All-Age medal counts, DCA and DCI, 1965 to 2026.

Slides 1 and 2: the top tier, DCA Open Class, then World Class, then DCI All-Age.
3 and 4: A Class, the smallest tier, from 1997.
5: Open Class as a middle tier, which only existed from 2022.
6: the DCI era alone, 2024 to 2026.

Reading Buccaneers lead with twenty two top tier titles. Hawthorne Caballeros have the most podiums at forty one.

Minnesota Brass took the 2011 title and hold five seconds. Cadets 2 won in 2016. Westshoremen won in 1996. Atlanta CV have five podiums without a title, the most of any corps in the tier never to win it.

A Class was DCA’s smallest tier, introduced in 1997, and it continues under DCI. Twenty six corps have placed top three.

Govenaires own it with six titles and eighteen podiums, placing top three in nearly two of every three championships ever held. Carolina Gold are next with three titles. Heat Wave have two titles and four seconds.

The rest of A Class. Nine of the twenty six corps here reached the podium exactly once.

Alliance won in 2008. Chops Inc won in 2005. Chieftains won the first A Class title in 1997. Erie Thunderbirds, SoCal Dream and Sun Devils each have two podiums and no title.

Note that A Class finals fielded only four corps in most years, and only two from 2001 through 2004.

first weekend without the valley gurlz has me in my feels. my favorite time of year is officially over and i’m counting down the days til next year. thank you for showing up and putting in the work. i love you guys 💚

The best summer of my life.⛈️

The moment I stepped foot on lucas oil stadium, i knew all the hard work I endured led to that very moment. Regardless of the emotions I felt the entire season, not having the motivation to keep going, or dealing with all the shit outside Hurcs. But I knew I had a family by my side every step of the way. These people never failed to put a smile on my face and I can say they became some of my best friends.

To all the people who marched by my side this season I owe it all to you. You guided me through my first DCI season and I’ve never felt more welcomed. You taught me how to take the challenges I’m going through and turn it into something beautiful. I never knew you could become so close with people so fast but I’m glad it was with them.

Truly it was a life changing experience and I simply can’t wait to do it again!

one more season down with the hurricanes✅ i swore that last year was going to be my last year, but there’s something about the family and culture that compelled me to come back this year. last year, i marched baritone, which was a whole new experience to me, but this year, I decided to go to front ensemble and do a year on my primary instrument, marimba. i learned so much from the staff, the ones who stayed and didn’t, and i have become such a better player out of this. i also found myself talking to more people this year and making different friendships with rookies, along with some vets i didn’t get the chance to talk to a lot last season. this season, i really got to understand the true feeling of family, and how you don’t give up on family. i am so proud of what we were able to accomplish this season and i couldn’t ask for a better group to march with. i love you all and remember, “in the hearts of one and all, the hurricanes walk proud and tall💚⚡️”
