We are officially ONE WEEK AWAY from Emerging Leadership Academy: Leading Others.

This session will be led by Colonel Matthew Zummo, Commanding Officer of NROTC Colorado. A CU Boulder graduate commissioned through NROTC in 1999, Colonel Zummo has led Marines across multiple deployments, including Operation Iraqi Freedom, and most recently returned to campus to lead the next generation of student leaders. His career is built on teamwork, trust, and high stakes collaboration, and he is bringing that experience directly to this conversation.

🗓 Monday, March 9
⏰ 5–7 PM
📍 Dal Ward Athletic Center (Touchdown Club)

We will explore what makes teams successful, how trust is built, and how to contribute meaningfully to shared goals.

And yes, there will be a FREE full nacho bar.

Spots are filling up, so register now. Link in bio!

Comment who you’re bringing, share this with a friend, and we’ll see you there!

⭐ Leadership Buff Spotlight ⭐
Meet Andrew Marsh, a Strategic Communications major with a Business minor at University of Colorado Boulder.

Andrew’s CU experience has been shaped by his leadership with the Herd Leadership Committee, where he helped lead the successful “Leading Others” Emerging Leadership Academy and other professional development events — experiences that made him proud to be a Buff.

A quote that’s stuck with him:
“Do you know what my favorite part of the game is? The opportunity to play.” — Mike Singletary

Andrew is most proud of capturing last year’s football season while working for CU Athletics, with photos shared widely — including after Travis Hunter won the Heisman — and having one featured in the CU Athletics Awards Hall.

Advice to his freshman self: “Relax. Everyone is clueless on what they are doing in a year, let alone what they are making for dinner.”

The session began with CU Boulder Chancellor Phil DiStefano, who started the conversation. Phil reflected on the importance of collaboration and trust: “Without trust we don’t get things done.”

Joseph M Barela, Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, followed with insights on empathy and teamwork: “Most people with conflict just want to be heard… I really want to listen and learn that person’s point of view.”

He reminded us that “people can reach their full potential when they can be their true selves.”

It was a great night filled with amazing people, tacos, a nacho bar, and a stunning view of Folsom Field!

Special thanks to @cu.hlc , @seth.a.webb , and Jack Curzon, for all their hard work in making this program possible — and tag your friends if you were there! 💛

Nearly Naked Mile 2025
Third year now running this 🏃‍♀️
Decided to actually be nearly naked, I now think I'm sick👍
Wanted to quit half way through, I cannot run for that long
It was fine though I got a cute cowboy hat because I donated some clothes 🤠
Chris ❤️'s sluts (it's an inside joke)
And the Markiplier pics.... Thrifted those today, amazing find
If you saw me running, no you didn't
Are they peaches or apples?
