Genuine question I saw this week: what should I know before hiring a professional cuddler? Great question. Let’s talk about it. Unlike many wellness fields, professional cuddling isn’t regulated. That means anyone can create a profile and start seeing clients with no training, no ethics agreement, no framework for handling what comes up in a session. And things do come up. Vulnerability, nervous system responses, old wounds. Without training, a practitioner may not know how to hold that space safely or even recognize when something needs to be handled with care. Here’s what to look for instead: ✔ Verified certification from a recognized training program – look for practitioners certified through @cuddlist, @cuddlesanctuary , or @cuddleprofessionalsintl ✔ A clear consent framework – boundaries discussed before the session begins ✔ Transparency about scope – they can clearly explain what is and isn’t offered ✔ A consultation so you can assess fit before committing You deserve to feel safe before the session even starts. Ready to find someone qualified? Start at Cuddlist.com – every practitioner there has completed certified training. And if you’re in the San Diego area, I’d love to connect. The gratitude I have to @jeanfranzblau as a teacher…it’s hard to put into words🤍 You’ve shown me that holding space is an art—one rooted in boundaries, deep care, and intentional presence. The way you move with wisdom and integrity continues to shape how I show up in this work and in life.🙏🏽✨🫂 #cuddletherapy #holdingspace #intentionalliving @cuddlesanctuary

Meet Fei, a professional cuddler with Cuddle Sanctuary @cuddlesanctuary in California. For $80 an hour, Fei treats her clients to one-on-one cuddling sessions and group workshops about consent and touch. Despite constant misunderstandings of her profession, Fei explains that her therapy is about more than sex, it’s about helping others discover intimacy through hugs and release through touch. #cuddling #cuddletherapy #intimacy #touch
