LIMITED EDITION FLAVORS BELOW 👀👀👀

How do you celebrate an organization that’s done so much for immigrant communities in Chinatown and Astoria? We visited both neighborhoods to source ingredients for two limited edition flavors for @caaavnyc 40th anniversary gala. 🩵🍨

🎉HONG KONG MILK TEA & DANISH BUTTER COOKIES
Featuring tea from Chinatown’s @grandteaimports and blue tin butter cookies—actual cookies, no sewing supplies!

🎉GUAVA JAGGERY SATKARA SORBET
Inspired by Bengali ingredients we explored in Astoria: guava, jaggery, and the bold citrus zing of satkara pickle. Plenty of taste testing went into getting this one just right!

Sharing these flavors in support of an organization we love meant so much. Both will be available at all our popups until we sell out, with proceeds benefiting CAAAV! Happy 40th, CAAAV—here’s to many more years of base building and community power.

This is exactly what the Upper West Side needed!

A traditional Chinese restaurant serving dim sum from the carts alongside all the Cantonese classics. @wusdynasty is the kind of place where you can come with just a couple of friends or bring the whole family and order a feast.

I recently had a fantastic meal here, with excellent food, wonderful service, and the best eating companions. I’m also really happy to see my good friend Derek doing so well and to see how warmly the neighborhood has embraced the restaurant.

If you haven’t been to Wu’s Dynasty yet, I highly encourage you to check it out!

Swipe through for a look at everything we had.

Some restaurants hold a special place in my heart because of the people behind them, and @bong.nyc is certainly one of those places.

I’ve known Chef Chakriya “Cha” Un and her partner Alexander “Chapi” Chaparro since before Bong opened, and I’ve always had so much love and admiration for these two. It’s been wonderful watching them bring their vision to life and seeing how much their little restaurant has grown.

For such a tiny, 20-seat space, Bong is packed with personality. The lively atmosphere, artwork from their friends, and Cambodian dishes inspired by family traditions all tell a story about who they are and what they wanted to share with New York.

I recently returned for another visit, and it made me happy to see the restaurant continuing to thrive. There’s something really rewarding about watching good people work hard to build something they believe in, and I’m genuinely rooting for Cha and Chapi every step of the way.

Swipe through for highlights from my latest visit!

JOIN US 10/15 to celebrate 40 years of @caaavnyc ! Link in Bio. 🩵✨

As a small business, giving back isn’t separate from what we do—it’s part of why we do it. We honor where we come from: our ancestry, our culture, our food, and the people who carried those traditions before us.

None of us builds anything alone. We’re here because communities before us created space, fought for visibility, and made it possible for the next generation to dream a little bigger.

That’s why we’re so honored to support CAAAV as they celebrate 40 years of building power for Asian communities.

Join us at the 40th Anniversary Gala on October 15! And if you can’t make it, you can still donate or help spread the word.

Here’s a little preview from our amazing friendors, who’ve generously donated to support CAAAV.

We can’t wait to celebrate together.

RECAP: There were definitely a few “wait… we’re really here?” moments at @neighbor.fest . Getting to scoop alongside so many established businesses we admire, with our little Nine Treasures Creamery, felt unreal.

Thank you to @nicolasnuvan for bringing this community together to support small businesses like ours and to @wei.collective for helping us be part of it. You never know where showing up again and again will lead. So grateful it brought us here.
