On March 8th we had the privilege on attending @gcodedotcom #DribbleWalkforPeace. Where community members came out to show their support in his hopes on bringing awareness to the on going issues that effect the youth of Brockton. If you grew up in Brockton or live in the city, you know the city and it’s residents have seen their share of young lives lost to gun violence. Many also facing serious time. During the walk George spoke about bringing awareness not only to the youth but also to the parents, sisters and brothers. It is also our job as a community to steer our youth in the right direction and always let them know they are capable to do anything they set their mind to. We commend George and all those who helped him put this walk together. We look forward to attending the next one and hope to see more of our followers as well!

For those who don’t know me I’m Fábio, creator of Brocktonmag. Growing up there weren’t any platforms showcasing creatives or highlighting dope movements in Brockton. I always knew this city was special so I didn’t understand why there wasn’t a spotlight on it. I decided I needed to change that and created Brocktonmag to give a voice for the voiceless and bring motivation to those who need. There are a lot of talented musicians, artists, photographers, videographers, fashion designers, producers and athletes in and around Brockton that don’t get the recognition they deserve. So we created BM to keep creatives motivated; to remind them that their dreams are worth chasing; that we see their hard work and if they continue working their dreams will become reality! We plan on continuing to do just that by showing love to everyone chasing their dreams.

This week I’ll be introducing you guys to the Brocktonmag team. These people are helping me make the movement stronger #staytuned🐾
