Well, it’s a year since I became the Valley Crew Coordinator and I just want to say thank you - I literally couldn’t have done the job without you! My favourite part of the role has been meeting and working with so many great people, all willing to help make our events the very best.

Kicking off our event season with the Ridelines MTB Enjoyro in April & ending at the first nightfall Tweed Valley Trail Run in October, you’ve helped us showcase the valley’s trails, hills and roads to hundreds of runners and riders.

The TweedLove Team is busy planning at the moment & I’ll soon be able to share the 2023 Event Calendar with you. I hope you’ll want to join us again & if you need to update any details on the Valley Crew system, now’s the time to get in touch at volunteers@tweedlove.com.

We would love to hear your feedback and ideas on the Valley Crew this year. We've sent you an email with a link to our end-of-year survey - Valley Crew Experience 2022 - please take a couple of minutes to let us know what you think.

Our Valley Crew partner Cullen Kilshaw has helped to make a huge difference to our volunteers this year which we really appreciate. With their support we’ve been able to provide Valley Crew t-shirts, hi vis vests and higher quality food too.

Thanks again to every single one of you, whether you helped at one event or all of them.
You made it happen ❤️

Best wishes,
Sarah & the TweedLove Team

Whilst we work out what big Bike Festival news to bring you next, how about a bit of love for a local firm that help us make it happen.

Maybe not quite so bling or gnarly as some of our partners, but without Cullen Kilshaw supporting @the.valley.crew, our events just wouldn't stack up.

Cullen Kilshaw help us to look after the hundreds of volunteers that make up The Valley Crew. With their very heart in the Scottish Borders - established in 1982 - they've been building relationships and working with clients here for forty years. It might be something as simple as paying for a decent lunch for our Crew, but it really makes the difference. Which is pretty gnarly.

On behalf of The Valley Crew - Thank you @cullenkilshaw, Solicitors & Estate Agents. 🤘❤🙏

What a difference The Valley Crew made to the riders at @tweedlovefest Glentress Seven on Saturday! The course was filled with cheers, cowbells and words of encouragement for seven hours, and finally, some hugs as exhausted racers finished their last lap.

A few of our marshals found themselves dealing with some nasty spills but their response was very effective alongside the medic team and we're pleased to say the injured riders are doing well.
We've had such positive feedback about the Valley Crew following this event, we thought we'd share a few comments with you.

"All the marshals were amazing! But a few really made my day! Unbelievable effort from all the volunteers, staff & competitors."

"Epic event guys! So well run & the marshals were angels."

"The organisers and marshals are right out of the top draw too."

And from an injured rider - "The marshals did an incredible job & were very reassuring. It would have been much worse without all the amazing care."

An event to be proud of. Thank you Valley Crew ❤️
