Freediving with Galapagos sharks 🦈

Hawaii’s ocean is so rich. Getting to experience Galapagos sharks up close like this, you start to see through the stigma and see how beautiful they are in their natural environment.

Lately a lot of the conversations I’ve had around sharks have been really negative, and I do understand why. But, the more time you spend in the water with them, the more you understand and respect these creatures rather than fear them.

Every time I get in the water, whether it’s surfing, diving, spearing or swimming, I understand I’m entering their world and taking on the risk.

I’ll be heading back for more shark dives in Hawaii soon! 🌈🌺🏝️

Choppy waters, rough currents… and we still went out. 🌊🦈 And DAMN, what an experience!
Galapagos sharks and an Oceanic Blacktip made their beautiful appearance, and somehow what I expected to be pure adrenaline became one of the most peaceful experiences. Watching them glide through the water—powerful, graceful, and completely free—was absolutely mesmerizing. 💙
There’s something so humbling about entering their world and realizing just how beautiful these animals truly are.
So thankful to @deepblueecotours for an experience I’ll never forget and @culliem for capturing these amazing moments. 📸
Pretty sure I just discovered a new obsession… 💙🦈🌊
