Royal Blue💙 What you see is a beret. What you don’t see is everything that happens before it reaches its new owner. Every Maison Battel beret is prepared with close attention to detail, from the placement of each element to the final cleaning, pressing, inspection, and removable insert designed to preserve the natural stretch and fit of the wool. There are plenty of late nights behind the scenes, with my mom and my husband helping make sure every piece is finished exactly the way we want it before it leaves our hands. A lot of patience, care, and love goes into every Maison Battel piece. Made with intention.✨️ #wearableart #maisonbattel #beretstyle #designer #indigenousfashion

Maison Battel’s red beret earned FIRST PLACE at the Shiprock @officialnorthernnavajofair Arts & Crafts competition! 🥇 We want our work to feel refined, distinctive, and unmistakably Native without being confined by expectations of what Indigenous fashion is “supposed” to look like. It is about allowing Diné design to occupy luxury and contemporary fashion spaces on our own terms. We are presenting our work through Maison Battel, an emerging fashion and accessories brand rooted in Navajo identity and influenced by Parisian and European fashion. Our work is not simply about combining Native and European aesthetics. Maison Battel is interested in reclaiming and reversing that historical relationship taking elements associated with European luxury, tailoring, and fashion tradition and interpreting them through a Diné perspective, with Indigenous identity and authorship at the center. This piece represents so much experimentation, handwork, learning, and love from the wool beret and embroidered basket design to the turquoise details and custom interior. Hard work really does pay , and we are incredibly happy to see Maison Battel recognized in this way. Ahéhee’ to the Northern Navajo Fair and Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day thriving beyond mere survival.✨️🧡🪶 #maisonbattel #maisonbattelberet #northernnavajofair #nativefashion #create

After a week of much-NEEDED rest, I finally have the capacity to get back on social media. I always enjoy fair season, the fashion, the vibes, and the power trips. 😂 We also had the opportunity to sponsor outfits for the Office of Miss Navajo, and we cheered loudly for every single contestant. It was an honor to be a small part of such a special week. Thank you Camille for being a beacon of hope for our people and being inclusive. May your blessing multiply. Lastly to everyone who shopped with us during fair week, visited our storefront, made a purchase, shared a post, or simply stopped by with words of encouragement, thank you. We appreciate you more than you know. I’m always grateful, always counting my blessings, and thankful for everyone who continues to support Winston Paul.

I still have a couple suitcase left to unpack from our trip to NM for Santa Fe Indian Market & Sovereignly Fit 2026. In 2025, I took a pause, putting my plans to create and release new items on hold. Now, this was my opportunity to share those projects and my favorite pieces. This is my work—I love culture, wiigwas, quillwork, beadwork, pinks, sparkle, florals. 🤍✨ Show: Sovereignly Fit - a collaboration between @toweringstone & @sovereignsantafe 📸: @colinbridge 📸: Pink Fringe Outfit photo by @4thworldstories
