When I go silent in these realms, you can be sure I’m in the midst of some Grand Adventure…externally and internally😉🐛

This last month, I’ve been cultivating new relationship with the lands of South Africa…my first time on the continent, and another step in dedication to continuous expansion of paradigm & comfort zone🦋

I joined a small group of healers coming together in Inzalo ye Langa - the Birthplace of the Sun - from many different lands, different histories, different ancestry. Together, we explored the light within and between us, honoring and planting seeds for the times to come☀️

And from this experience, I am once again struck by the shared dream weaving its way through our collective consciousness.

Everywhere I travel, I hear it. I see it. I feel it.

It shows itself in the voices and stories shared with and through one another. The way we show up with openness, curiosity, relationality. Our capacity to lean in when tender spots are touched. Our visions and imaginations and fantasies for the future, seeded by ancestral guidance echoing through our bones.

Contrary to what political discourse would have us believe, the global cry for togetherness is getting louder. Our desire and capacity for multicultural healing is strengthening. If you open your heart to this as a possibility, can you hear it? Can you feel it?

My hope for humanity is endless. Boundless as the sea. And the deeper this journey leads me, the stronger my faith grows.

Don’t you dare give up - on us, on love, on hope - because we are JUST getting started❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Spent a few days away in the Dominican Republic with Indigenous healers to reconnect with the plants, water, and land — from the energy of Santo Domingo to the deep healing of the jungle and waters of El Valle. Excited things are on the horizon, I feel it in my spirit!. 🌿✨. Thanks to my relatives at @curabohio! ♥️

Black Condor is gearing up to activate our all-Black Shipibo Retreat this weekend! ✨🖤

We’re honored to co-create this historic moment, where the Black community is meeting the sacred medicine of the Shipibo-Konibo people. Years and months of planning, visioning, and prayer have brought us to this powerful beginning, and we’re infinitely grateful for every hand and heart involved.

To the Black folks joining us, the Grandmothers guiding us, our host family and staff, and Mama Aya herself — thank you for holding and launching this vision with us. Together, we’re opening a new path in healing and ancestral remembrance. 🙏🏿🌱

Here are some lovely photos from one of our guardian's all Women's retreat Adorable attended last year. Excited to have @bridgetoether joining us!

It amazes me how many times I hear folks frame spiritual quests as some kind of escape, when escapism through television, online shopping, alcohol and prescription drugs and workaholism and even judgement addiction (an internally sourced pain reliever) is so normalized and supported by modern society.

I can just speak for myself and say that I do not experience meditation, ceremony, or pilgrimage as escape or vacation from myself or my challenges. When we strip away all of our comforts, vices, social support and routines, our identity collapses pretty quickly and we must meet ourselves and reality itself as it is and not as we desire it to be. This can be expansive and blissful, it can also be quite difficult and unpleasant!

This is an incredibly fertile starting point for devising better need meeting strategies in collaboration with nature and with our angels, allies, ancestors and guides, and later with our family, friends, and neighbors, those who’s lives our existence affects deeply. Looking honestly at what is helps us design experiments and implement strategies that may potentially better serve all of life and the next generations to come. (I say potentially because we won’t know until we try and the try itself can be problematic if everyone affected is not on fully board!)

Humor moves energy, yes, AND, I tire of all the jokes & memes aimed to dismiss the spiritual dimension & those seeking to integrate love and compassion and respect for all of life into daily life. This is a noble attempt that I would love to see supported fully!

If “The children are always everyone’s responsibility” does this not apply to our wounded inner children???

All growth comes with what in NVC we call “the obnoxious phase” where we have had some insight into another way & are passionate about applying it but actually not very good at it YET so still causing harm, dissapointing or annoying each other.

Compassion for this too, or else we discourage people (and ourselves) from even trying!

Being in the jungle is raw. Life and death is around you every moment. Sounds never stop. Bushes constantly rattling, everything alive. It’s hot, even lingering in the shadows of the menacingly tall trees towering overhead.

Dark mysterious energy, like being in a cavern — the cavern of Mother Earth’s heart. Here, you’re left choice-less, powerless to her embrace. Living in harmony with the insects, the animal, the birds. Accepting the sense of danger and uncertainty.

I felt humbled and in awe daily. I realised how long it had been since I’d immersed fully in nature. Retreating in this space, I moved through discomfort and learned to release into the healing power of nature and the plants she offers. I saw how much I have to learn from the indigenous peoples like the Machiguenga and the Shipibo with whom I shared space with whilst on this land.

I feel incredibly grateful to have experienced just a tiny part of the jungle, to have journeyed for 11 days while staying totally immersed in one place, and importantly, the team who made it all possible. A big thank you to @cura_com who created and led this women’s retreat, for holding this needed space and especially having helped me discover new doors of ancestral healing that I’d previously yet to know existed.
